Ervaar Milaan als een local tijdens onze Secret Food Tour. Begin uw reis met een echte Lombardische klassieker : romige risotto met taleggio & peer, bereid met traditionele technieken. Verken de trendy en levendige wijk Navigli terwijl je arancina proeft, een van de meest iconische streetfoods van Italië. Als we langs enkele van de oudste kerken van Milaan komen, stoppen we voor een lokale trots : unieke pizza in Milanese stijl, een luchtig en heerlijk stadsbestanddeel. Bewaar ruimte voor een traditionele Pasticciotto, een gouden, vlokkig gebak gevuld met rijke vla, gecombineerd met een authentieke Italiaanse koffie en zijn kenmerkende "cremina." We eindigen met een hoge noot met ambachtelijke gelato, vervaardigd met uitzonderlijke zorg en natuurlijke ingrediënten. Zoals bij al onze tours is er ook onze heerlijke Secret Dish, geserveerd met een speciaal seizoensbijgerecht!

Porta Genova is een treinstation in Milaan, Italië, gelegen aan de voorstedelijke spoorlijn Passante Ferroviario di Milano. Het werd geopend in 2004 en biedt verbindingen naar andere delen van Milaan en de omliggende regio's. Het station is vernoemd naar de nabijgelegen Porta Genova, een van de oude poorten van de stadsmuren van Milaan.
Darsena is een district in Milaan, Italië, gelegen in het Navigli-gebied. Het staat bekend om zijn bruisende nachtleven, trendy bars en restaurants. De wijk ontleent zijn naam aan het Naviglio Grande-kanaal, dat vroeger dienst deed als commerciële haven en nu een populaire plek is om te wandelen en varen. Het Darsena-gebied heeft de afgelopen jaren een aanzienlijke herontwikkeling ondergaan en is uitgegroeid tot een van de meest gewilde buurten in Milaan.
De Naviglio is een kanaalsysteem in Milaan, Italië, bestaande uit de Naviglio Grande en Naviglio Pavese. De grachten werden oorspronkelijk in de 12e eeuw aangelegd om Milaan met andere steden te verbinden en de handel te vergemakkelijken. Tegenwoordig is de Naviglio een populaire toeristische attractie, bekend om zijn pittoreske waterwegen, historische bruggen en het bruisende nachtleven in de wijk Darsena. De Naviglio Grande is bezaaid met cafés, restaurants en bars, en is een populaire plek voor boottochten en wandelingen. De Naviglio Pavese daarentegen is een rustiger en landelijker kanaal dat door het platteland loopt.
Een "Porta Ticinese" maakte al deel uit van de middeleeuwse muren van Milaan (12e eeuw); de middeleeuwse poort is een van de weinige overblijfselen van de middeleeuwse muren die nog steeds aanwezig zijn, en bevindt zich in hetzelfde gebied als de moderne "Porta Ticinese", maar dichter bij het stadscentrum (aangezien de middeleeuwse muren een kleiner gebied omsloten dan de Spaanse muren). De huidige locatie van de poort (op een plein dat nu "Piazzale XIV Maggio" heet) werd opgericht tijdens de Spaanse overheersing, in de 16e eeuw.

One word… WOW! What a great adventure! They say the guide matters - TRUE. They say the people who are part of the tour matter - TRUE! This was the perfect combo. ELENA is truly a lover of her city and you can feel it in every story she shares. She loves Milan, she loves food, and she loves people. We were a small group (3 ladies who were all solo travelers) and we had a BLAST! Not only did we try fantastic food, we went to local places that truly celebrated Milanese food and culture. EVERYTHING was perfect - the places, the food, the timing, the history. The secret treat was Steak Tartare and it was FANTASTIC! What a lovely surprise!
