Een echte aanrader voor de tour waarbij je Chinatown verkent naar de tempel, de markt, de zakelijke plek, het culinaire en het nachtleven. Glodok is een van de grootste Chinatowns in Indonesië en de eerste beroemde genaamd Pecinan, Tionghoa verwijst naar de naam van de Chinezen. Glodok ook als onderdeel van de oude stad, waar veel historische bezienswaardigheden zijn van Nederlandse kolonisten. In de 17e eeuw werd Glodok een plaats van isolatie om gemakkelijk gecontroleerd te kunnen worden, omdat ze goed zaken doen. Chinees Indonesië kent veel verhalen over de gekoloniseerde periode en de daaropvolgende monetaire crisis. Chinezen zijn lange tijd aangekomen via zeemanshandel en zijn succesvol geworden in Zuid-Azië, vooral Indonesië en een van de Jakarta Business Distric-gebieden genaamd PIK. • Leer meer over de geschiedenis, vooral de Nederlandse kolonialen en Chinezen. • Bekijk Jakarta in de nacht met verschillende uniciteit in het oude en moderne website. Nadat je bent opgehaald en binnen 30 minuten vanuit je hotel bent gereden, ga je verder naar Chinatown in Glodok. Als je de Chinatown binnenkomt, zie je de tempel met oude pagode die werd gebouwd in 1650 en bezoek je de oude tempel van "Yin en Yang", goed en slecht, hemel en hel of karma. Vervolgens de markt van Petak Sembilan verkennen. Glodok is een van de oude Chinatowns die mensen het gebied "Grojok" noemden, verwijzen naar het geluid van de Soendanezen vóór de kolonialen, en Glodok, ook wel "Gelodog" genoemd, verwijst naar de naam van de poort van het gebied Batavia in de koloniale tijd. In deze ervaring zul je gefascineerd zijn door het gebied waar de lokale bevolking "Glodok" zegt. Er zijn veel winkels zoals Herbalis en Apotik, snoep, crackers en cakes, enz. Na Glodok gaat u in 10 minuten naar de oude stad.
Als u het gebied van de oude stad binnengaat, ziet u een oud gebouw ontworpen in Chinees-Europese stijl dat al sinds het koloniale tijdperk stond. In de oude stad is er een grote tuin van 139 m2, ook wel het stadhuis genoemd, en vervolgens noemen de mensen "Fatahillah-park" verwijzen de naam van Sultanete van Banten die het gebied in "Sunda Kelapa", de eerste kant van Jakarta, aanviel. terwijl je in het park bent, zul je zien dat sommige gebouwen worden gebruikt voor musea, postkantoor, café en officieel. In de middag zullen we een uur of minder doorbrengen. Ga dan naar de Vismarkt voor of na PIK als hoogtepunt van het programma. PIK is de moderne Chinatown aan de noordkust van Jakarta. Jakarta biedt een interessante plek voor het vismarktconcept en culinair toerisme via Resto Floating Muara Angke. Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, ligt dit restaurant aan zee. Voor toegang tot de Floating Resto is echter geen overtocht per boot nodig, omdat de ingang van het restaurant zich aan land bevindt. Hier kunt u de vis zien, kopen of direct in Resto Apung kopen en koken.
Na aankomst "Het hoogtepunt van de tour" heb je 's middags een fascinerende Chinatown met het licht van een lantaarn. Dit is een zakendistrict van Jakarta in een Chinees dominant gebied met een mooi uitzicht en meer instragamable dan kun je de laan met lange grachten en rode lampion verkennen, je zult eten of gewoon foto's maken, winkelen of rondhangen.
Dit is de finale van ons programma, en we gaan terug naar het hotel, en we maken een fotostop bij monument national als het symbool van de hoofdstad van Indonesië, in het glimmende glanzende goud in de nacht op een hoogte van 132 meter in 80 Ha gebied graden ervoor van presidentieel paleis. breng je over 1 uur naar het hotel

Jakarta has a lot of traffic. But you get through it. The PKI 1 is a great place to eat dinner, and get a pic of the Pagoda. Visit PKI 2 at night, and see the lights on the bridge change.

The tour I selected was not so special rather the company of the Guide Siti who was the best guide I hv ever met travelling all along the world . She was very informative, a very sound knowledge of history, culture of different country was beyond my belief and also very proficient in English . The driver Syamsui was ever courteous and hence the company of them both made the tour and an evening of outing in Jakarta worthwhile . As with the tour they will cover all the places of the itinerary but be ware of the traffic in Jakarta .

Very interesting tour. We were picked up at ships dock by our guide 'Borneo'. He and his driver expertly weaved their way through the congested streets of Jakarta to arrive at 'Old' Chinatown. An interesting assortment of storefronts some with some very old cabinetry reminiscent of times past. We walked through a maze of alleys lined with vendors of various wares toward an old Buddhist shrine which unfortunately had burned down and has been replaced by a temporary structure - but still interesting. From there we moved to the Dutch Old Town and walked the old plaza surrounded by administrative buildings from the time of Dutch rule. We then drove to PIK Avenue - wow what a difference. This is modern and organized section of the city vastly different from the ramshackle old city with its dense population and heavy traffic. This is where you'll find the Pagoda shown in the ad for this tour. Lastly, we visited the fish market. For me it was the most interesting part of the tour because it was different from most other markets I've visited in Asia. A huge market brimming with all kinds of fish of both fresh and saltwater. Trucks were constantly arriving with new catch. Others were leaving loaded with their purchases. Thousands of vendors, lots of activity. A visual feast. Our guide. Borneo was entertaining and showed us a good time.

Very interesting and informative tour. The guide Haider was very knowledgeable and friendly with excellent English. The fish market experience was something different and well worth doing but maybe don’t wear your best shoes! Restaurant then cooks your seafood you choose. Yummy! Overall I would highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I had only an afternoon in Jakarta before heading to Bali and were able to book this tour on short notice. Communications with the company were prompt and direct. Our guide, Ms Enok arrived promptly at the agreed upon time at our hotel. The driver, Rishwan, did a great job navigating us thru the busy streets. Ms Enok was delightful and an excellent guide. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend Enok and this tour!
