We bezoeken de historische binnenstad die op de werelderfgoedlijst van Unesco staat, een panoramisch bezoek aan het Nationaal Paleis, u loopt de Zocalo van de Azteekse Grote Tempel, de Metropolitan Cathedral, de Reforma boulevard, het Chapultepec Park, de meest glamoureuze woonwijken van de stad en de Zona Rosa (roze zone). We vervolgen met een panoramische Tour van het World Trade Center, het Siqueiros Cultural Polyforum, de Mexico Bullring, het Theater van de Opstandelingen, het Olympisch Stadion, de Universiteitsstad, de lavatuinen van San Angel; daarna bezoeken we Xochimilco, een werelderfgoedlocatie, om op een Azteekse boot te rijden; en vervolgens naar de koloniale wijk Coyoacan met zijn XVI-eeuwse herenhuizen en de indrukwekkende schilderijen bij de kerk van Sint Johannes de Doper.

We really enjoyed the overview tour of Mexico with Eduardo. We visited the floating gardens, Coyoacan neighborhood where we had a great lunch, the University campus and Library. When downtown was closed because of protests, Eduardo offered to drop us off at the Opera and Fine Arts museum. We always wanted to see the murals by Diego Riviera. The Palace itself is a fine example of art deco snd beax arts. A lovely visit! Eduardo is very knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver. We highly recommend him!

The city tour was great for getting to know the area and some of the main attractions of the area. You pass by Chapultepec forest but don't enter so if you're wanting that you'll have to make other arrangements. Xochimilco was fun but honestly not very impressive - you just go in a straight line in one of the canals for an hour with plenty of stops for various entities on other boats to offer you services at inflated prices. I'm not sure if there's more to it than canals without any main body of water. It is a bit of a trap to charge you for multiple things, but for the US dollar it's not unaffordable, however the prices are definitely high for Mexican pesos. I doubt that locals go there with an arranged tour given they are likely to get much better prices with separate arrangements if they do go there at all. They are highly resistant to haggling over prices.

Xochimilco is, as you know, a World Heritage site, that implicates that many people go there to see the wonder old lake, we offer an experience which shows the mexican folclore and tradtions. Is still a place were many people like to spend some time of relax and chating with family or friends. The prices tend to be different for the cost of living in this place.
Humberto was wonderful! If you’re going to opt into mariachis while on the canal, don’t haggle them it’s their way of making a living and they’re doing what they can with what they have. Be kind and generous, it goes a long way.

excellent experience, walking in a trajinera and seeing so many landscapes is beautiful. see how people enjoy different, different nationalities I love. highly recommended. to close with a snap enjoy a snow in Coyoacán gave the plus to the experience. very nice.
