Zweef in een glorieus avontuur op een tweepersoons zeekajak om de machtige Mendenhall-gletsjer te bekijken. Leer peddeltechnieken van een expert en ga op zoek naar mogelijke ontmoetingen met dieren in het wild tegen een spectaculaire achtergrond van beboste hellingen, nabijgelegen bergtoppen en de ijzige torens van een gletsjer. Tour Fritz Cove, op zoek naar Amerikaanse zeearenden en bultruggen, en bezoek de Mendenhall Wetlands, een beschermd natuurgebied vol met vogels, zoogdieren en het leven in zee. Great time despite the fog and rain. We saw porpoises, seals, a sea otter, and many bald eagles. Lina was a great guide. Fun family experience!
We had an absolutely fantastic time sea kayaking in Juneau with the incredible Mendenhall Glacier as the backdrop. Such a brilliant way to experience Alaska and definitely one of the highlights of our time in Juneau. Our guide, Quenton (I think was her name, she took 6 weeks to drive here), was excellent , really friendly, knowledgeable and easy-going. He made everyone feel comfortable on the water, gave us plenty of interesting information about the area and kept the whole experience fun and relaxed throughout. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and seeing Mendenhall Glacier from the water made the experience feel even more special. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to take everything in and enjoy being out on the water. A fantastic excursion, a great guide and an unforgettable way to experience Juneau. Rosie was the best guide!!!! We saw multiple bald eagles and harbor seals! Rosie was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife. So fun and highly recommend!!!
Super fun adventure. The scenery is amazing! Seeing the glacier up close is a must. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very fun. Ari is a great guide.
We had an amazing trip. 8 of us - 4 adults and 4 children (5-16yrs) and we all had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect with far more visible mountain tops than usual. Seals popped up right next to my niece and brother-in-law's kayak! Our guide was very patient with us being a bit slower to get suited up in the provided rubber boots (wear socks!) and aprons for adults or waterproof overalls for kids and when the little kids wanted to have kayak races. We saw a lot of birds, seals, and of course, Mendenhall Glacier on the other side of the water. Since the glacier doesn't reach the fresh water lake anymore - see it close from a hike and do this kayaking/canoeing instead!
This was a fantastic activity while we visited Juneau on our cruise. Our guide Thalia was the best kayak guide I have ever paddled with. She made sure that safety was top priority and was very knowledgeable about the landscape and wildlife we saw!! I very much enjoyed my trip with her!

We had a wonderful time kayaking near Mendenhall Glacier. Our guide Rosie was fun, professional and put everyone in our group at ease. This is a great activity to see beautiful Alaska up close and personal.
Our guide Thalia was fantastic! She explained all about the glacier and wildlife. We had wonderful weather and great conditions to appreciate the peaceful kayak around the lake. Harbour seals came close to our kayaks as well as jumping salmon. Bald Eagles also were about making for a great all round experience. Thanks again to Thalia for making wonderful memories for us.
