Phillip Island is een schatkamer van Australische wilde dieren; zeehonden, koala's, kangoeroes, wallabies, vogels en pinguïns! Bezoek Maru Koala and Animal Park, waar je koala's, wombats, krokodillen, kangoeroes, Australische vogels, wallabies, Tasmaanse duivels, dingo's, emoes en nog veel meer kunt zien! Voor zonsondergang gaan we naar de Penguin Parade, waar u door de tentoonstelling "Penguin Experience" kunt dwalen om meer over hen te leren. Wandel naar Summerland Beach en neem plaats op de hoofdtribune voor de Penguin Parade. Tijdens de tour bezoekt u Maru Koala en Animal Park (op eigen kosten), voert u onze mooie lokale dieren, bezoekt u Caldermeade Farm & Cafe, een moderne melkveehouderij en observeert u het hele proces van gemechaniseerd melken.Verken The Nobbies , een ruige rotspartij met een prachtig uitzicht op de kust, laatste stop Phillip Island Nature Parks.

Een grote moderne melkveehouderij, waar je het hele semi-geautomatiseerde melkproces ziet en iets leert over melk en zuivelproducten.
Maru is een door een familie gerunde attractie waar je koala's, wombats, krokodillen, kangoeroes, Australische vogels, wallaby's, Tasmaanse duivels, dingo's, emoes en nog veel meer kunt zien!
Cowes, gelegen op het noordelijke puntje van Phillip Island, is de dichtstbevolkte stad van het eiland. Het ademt een charmante dorpse sfeer, met een breed scala aan restaurants en bars. Cowes Beach en Jetty bieden een prachtig uitzicht over de rustige wateren van Western Port Bay, met een schilderachtige achtergrond van het Mornington Peninsula.
Ga verder naar het westelijke puntje van Phillip Island naar The Nobbies Centre, een ruige rotspartij met een prachtig uitzicht op de kust. Het landschap rondom het Nobbies Informatiecentrum staat vol met kleurrijke vogelsoorten. Veel soorten nestelen en voeden zich op de kliffen, dus hou je ogen open! In het centrum tonen new-age schermen korte presentaties die een duik nemen in het leven en de habitat van Phillip Island.
Als de zon ondergaat gaan we naar Summerland Beach en pakken een plekje op de promenade. Observeer hoe honderden kleine pinguïns naar de kust komen en zich een weg banen over het strand naar hun huizen in de zandduinen. Zie 's werelds kleinste pinguïn in zijn natuurlijke habitat vanaf uitkijkposten en promenades. Geniet van educatieve displays in het bezoekerscentrum en het spectaculaire kustlandschap vanaf de Penguin Parade. Deze ervaring is zeker het hoogtepunt van uw bezoek. Excellent trip. Visited the Koala Reserve and Cowes before going to the Penguin Reserve. Bit of a wait till the penguins started coming out but really good to see the few that did come up the beach before we had to leave to get our coach. Best to leave enough time to see the penguins going up past the boardwalk after leaving the beach. It was very busy. You are not allowed to take pictures once the sun has set.
I had a great time, the driver / guide was extremely kind and friendly. We saw several typical animals of Australia and breathtaking landscapes! I found it useful to have several hours of travel by bus, so I could rest between visits.
The tour operator was good & professional. The good part of the tour was the visit to Bathing boxes , Puffing Billy and Nobbies. However the Penguin island disappointed me. We had to wait for the penguins which hardly showed up. The only restaurant there charges a hefty sum & nothing else was worth it.
Steven’s Puffing Billy and Philip Island tour was absolutely fantastic! His time management was impeccable, ensuring we saw every highlight without feeling rushed. We loved the stop to see Australia’s amazing animals, including kangaroos and koalas. Steven also shared fascinating historical and local information about Melbourne, which truly enriched our experience. A perfect, well-paced day trip. Highly recommend this five-star tour!
Great tour guide who had helpful tips for the penguins. Not very long at koala park and entry is expensive so we opted for minigolf for the 2 kids at the same place. Great fun! Took a star off for sneaky extra charge of $5 per head for 'gratuities'. We paid it without fuss as our driver/guide Curtis was amazing. Otherwise this is a sneaky/unreasonable move by the company Extragreen Holidays, they should not be doing this in my opinion.

Children are likely to find this more interesting than adults, but it is still worth the time to make the trip.
