Ervaar de belangrijkste hotspots van het centrum van Medellin tijdens deze rondleiding van 3 uur. Bezoek de oude kerken, leer de historische en artistieke context kennen van de magnifieke bronzen beelden van maestro Botero, stap aan boord van de kabelbanen en geniet van een spectaculair uitzicht over de stad, loop samen met je deskundige gids en voel de sfeer in de comuna, of 'barrio', om te zien hoe mensen dagelijks leven en overleven. Gidsen in andere talen zoals Frans en Duits zijn onder voorbehoud van beschikbaarheid.

Rijd door parque del Poblado op weg naar het centrum.
We rijden dicht naar Ciudad del Rio, een nieuwe moderne wijk in de buurt van Poblado.
De eerste halte bevindt zich in het centrum van Medellin, waar u gebiologeerd zult zijn door de magnifieke sculpturen van de maestro Fernando Botero, een van 's werelds meest gerenommeerde beeldhouwers. Neem een fatsoenlijke camera mee, want je gidsen hebben allemaal fotografiecursussen gevolgd en zullen met plezier postkaart-perfecte foto's maken van je om deze meer dan levensgrote sculpturen te omarmen voor je herinneringen. Vanaf hier gaat de tour te voet verder om echt de sfeer van de binnenstad te voelen en om oude koloniale kerken, pleinen, het prachtige culturele paleis en nog veel meer te ervaren.
We wandelen door het paleis en gasten kunnen de geschiedenis van dit magnifieke neogotische gebouw leren, terwijl uw gids u helpt bij het verkrijgen van foto's van goede kwaliteit.
Loop binnen in een van de eerste koloniale kerken die in de stad zijn gebouwd. Houd je camera klaar om foto's te maken van de kunst en koloniale balkons in de kerk.
We zullen een korte wandeling maken door het park om het eerste standbeeld van Botero te zien, geschonken in de stad door Fernando Botero, de beroemde Colombiaanse kunstenaar en gast die we zullen leren over de geschiedenis van dit park en zijn relevantie in de stad
Loop door deze charmante kleine koloniale kerk en leer de geschiedenis erachter.
Klim vervolgens aan boord van de Metrocable, een kabelbaan-systeem voor de lucht, gebouwd om het verkeer te verminderen, het algemene stadsvervoer te verbeteren en de burgers tegemoet te komen, zodat ze kunnen genieten van connectiviteit vanaf hun respectievelijke barrios naar de metro en andere transportmiddelen. Deze stevige, goed onderhouden kabelbaan brengt je naar je volgende bestemming, de Santo Domingo Savio-bibliotheek, een modern gebouw gedeeltelijk gedoneerd door de koning van Spanje. Je hebt de mogelijkheid om hier een wandeling te maken om het echte leven in comuna te zien met je gids die de mensen en de buurt goed kent. Ten slotte worden de gasten afgezet in hun accommodatie in dezelfde comfortabele auto waarin ze rond het middaguur zijn opgehaald.

Veronica, our tour guide, was friendly and informative. She showed us a variety of attractions downtown and she took us on a cable ride. We particularly liked the sculptures of Fernando Botero in Botero Plaza. Veronica even helped us make dinner arrangements at the end of the tour. The only issue we had was a lack of air conditioning in the vehicle used for transport. It was a hot day and the car ride became quite uncomfortable at times. Carl and Joe

Hi, first off, you were 35 minutes late! Normally we mark you as a no show, for being that late. We didn't even charge you extra for making our guide and driver wait and covered all the sites without cutting anything out. Also, don't forget that you added Arvi Park to your tour! Remember, this was a private tour, not a bus tour. As it is, this is the most inexpensive tour we have. Sorry, we don't work for minimum wage. We do quality tours in fluent English, are licensed, insured and make our guests happy. You can't please everyone, but 99.5 % of our guests appreciate us and love our tours. They are solid and great guests who come here to support our cause for sustainable tourism, not people who come and complain and nickel and dime for every single thing. Anyhow, cheers.
The tour was informative, it was fun to ride the Medellin subway, and the cable car was a unique experience that took you approximately 1000 meters above the city for amazing views. You shoukd be prepared though, Arvi Park is not what mist Europeans or North Americans would call a "park", but rather a conservation area. Overall it was an enjoyable tour.

I loved Commune 13 and the resilience of its people, for me the top 10 of Medellin. It is amazing that the second most dangerous place in Latin America has become a tourist attraction and that all its inhabitants work as a team to make it a fantastically attractive place: urban art, trova, dancing, food and much more are the attractions of this colorful and charming urban space.
