Het oceanarium ligt aan de haven in Port Louis, de hoofdstad van Mauritius, dicht bij nabijgelegen winkels, culturele ruimtes en hotels. Het Oceanarium, een plek van ontdekking, onderwijs en bewustwording, is een weerspiegeling van de wonderen van onze Oceaan en een diepe bron van kennis en ontdekking die mensen van alle horizonten inspireert om acties te ondernemen voor onze wereldwijde omgeving, het ultieme leven van onze planeet en onze erfenis aan onze nakomelingen. Laat je onderdompelen in een oceaan van verwondering en je ogen zullen versteld staan van de ontdekking van vissen, koralen en mariene soorten. Odysseo is het grootste oceanarium in de Mascarene Archipel en het eerste in zijn soort in Mauritius. Met zijn 5500 m2 aan bezoekende domeinen toont het oceanarium zo'n 45 verschillende aquatische habitats die comfortabel worden gehost in 2000m3 ongerept water. Je komt zo’n 200 soorten (3.500 exemplaren bij de opening) van de Indische Oceaan tegen. De Indische Oceaan zal u zijn geheimen onthullen, een natuurlijke rijkdom die generaties lang bewaard zal blijven.

Visit the aquarium at the top! The price is affordable and it is a perfect activity to do with children. I highly recommend!

Okay. Interesting fish. Lots of children and families with children, difficult to sit and relax by watching the fish in the large aquarium. The noise level is high, maybe not always, we were unlucky. Good parking.

Beautiful aquarium with local and tropical fish, explanations about the different reefs... But the visit was too short for our taste. We stayed on our hunger. However pleasant because very few people.

The aquarium is for families with young children only. Interactive, fascinating experience for them, but for 2 adults it was less interesting. Did have the most delicious coconut milkshake at the cafe though. There are only gifts for children at the giftshop besides keyrings.

Beautiful aquarium which allows you to discover all the exotic species with the naked eye. However, entry for tourists (residents having a notable preferential rate) is a bit expensive for the length of visit.. Shame
