Beschrijving
Materuni Village ligt in het noordelijke deel van de stad Moshi. Het is het laatste dorp vóór het nationale park van Kilimanjaro en het is slechts 15 km van de stad Moshi. Je reist op zowel een asfaltweg als op ruwe wegen. Een gematigde wandeling van ongeveer 40 minuten naar de prachtige Materuni-waterval met een Engels sprekende gids. Onderweg leer je over de levensstijl van het lokale dorp en geniet je van de schoonheid van de natuur. Leer verschillende soorten flora en fauna. Je krijgt de kans om Chagga lokaal bananenbier te testen in een lokale bar. Wat mee te nemen op Materuni Village Tours: - - Zwempak (als u geïnteresseerd bent in zwemmen bij de watervallen) Goede wandelschoenen (je gaat wandelen) -Comfortabele kleding voor de tocht (denk aan lagen omdat het klimaat kan veranderen van koel naar warm) -Camera -Jassen / fleece voor avonden, -Zonnescherm en insectenwerend middel. Opmerking: thuisverblijven kunnen ook op verzoek worden georganiseerd.

It was an amazing experience 😍 Professional team and great company. The hiking tour is approximately 2*2.5km, but it is worth it at the end. I recommend it.

Great experience with Moana ! We did 2 days with them, visited Materuni waterfall with coffee tour on the first day and Chemka hot springs the following day. Everything ran smoothly, our guides were punctual, very nice and prepared. The food was great and for both experiences, we arrived earlier than the general crowd, this was a great plus! I highly recommend these guys, part of their income is used to run their NGO to give back to the community. You will be in great hands !
It was very fun! So funny and open people over there! Our guide Gea is a really nice guy! Friendly funny understandable always makes lot effort to you feel comfortable! He also was able to keep up with us late in the club ;)

The day was more interesting than I expected. Scenic very beautiful and thanks to the great organization of Moana we could get a good impression of how the local people live.
Great tour with a great group. The guides of Moana know everyone in the area and were able to offer us a real "local experience". The waterfall is hard to reach and hard to find if you don't know your way around, so you need an organization. I can recommend Moana to anyone. Very fair and competent and at the same time always friendly.

Amazing, I arrived at around 8 at an amazing 'hostel' (you share the room with max 1 other person). The trip organizer, Gea is a really nice guy and accompanied me to an amazing club and made sure I had a good time. The tour and waterfall was amazing, though don't make the same mistakes as I made and bring your swimming clothes. He also took care of transport and made sure I had arrived at my destination safely. I would highly recommend going on this trip as it was amazing. Unfortunately I had to go back to work on Monday, otherwise I would diffenetly stayed longer.
