Afrika is een van de grootste biodiversiteitsbestemmingen ter wereld. Het op een na grootste continent ter wereld is begiftigd met een rijke biodiversiteit. Met ongelooflijk gevarieerde dieren in het wild en landschappen, proberen reizigers Kenia Masai Mara-safaripakketten te boeken die hen betoverd achterlaten. Mensen reizen van over de hele wereld naar dit zuidelijkste puntje van Afrika voor een uitje met wilde dieren. Het reservaat beslaat 1.510 vierkante kilometer (580 vierkante mijl) en ligt 1.500-2.170 meter boven de zeespiegel. Het terrein van het reservaat bestaat voornamelijk uit grasland en rivierbos met bosjes karakteristieke acaciabomen. Het ecosysteem van Masai Mara heeft een van de hoogste leeuwendichtheid ter wereld en hier migreren jaarlijks meer dan twee miljoen gnoes, zebra's en Thompson-gazelle. De natuur van de Masai Mara is wereldberoemd, met de zogenaamde "Big Five" - buffels, olifanten, luipaarden, leeuwen en neushoorns - die het hele jaar door zichtbaar zijn. De "Big Nine" - inclusief cheeta's, zebra's, giraffen en nijlpaarden - breidt deze ervaring uit.

I got more than i expected and then the expectations rose. I am thoroughly happy with all the sightings. The guide cum driver knew the terrain so well and spotted the best sightings. Ashnil Mara Camp stay was also wonderful with Hippos in the river for company. They had Indian cuisine too which is thoughtful. 3 cheers for Nature Explorers team that made all.the arrangements, gave us all the useful information and were available at all times. However, please avoid recommending Giraffe Centre at Nairobi. Total waste of time. Please suggest other options. Thank you, NEI team.
