Raften op de Martha Brae is een van de meest gewilde maar toch ontspannende excursie die u ooit zult ervaren. Zodra u bent opgehaald kunt u ervoor kiezen om te pauzeren langs uw reis om een voorproefje van ons eiland te krijgen door te stoppen om onze lokale verkopers te ondersteunen en probeer de eilanden beste fruit en dranken. Eenmaal op de bestemming kunt u wandelen in de prachtige kruidentuin voordat u aan het hoofdevenement begint, nadat u uw wandeling langs het beste van de natuur hebt voltooid, kunnen we u vervolgens uw zeer capabele vlotkapitein laten ontmoeten die u laat zitten Comfortabel op een 50 voet bamboe vlot en dan zal zachtjes navigeren een 3 mijl rivier tour naar beneden de kalme langzaam bewegende wateren onder het bladerdak van grote bomen. Deze tour duurt ongeveer 1 uur en gedurende die tijd hoort u volksverhalen over de wonderen van de parochie en rivier, maar aan het einde van deze tour krijgt u de kans om snuisterijen te kopen om u te herinneren aan dit altijd prachtige paradijs.

Martha Brae ligt in de koele naburige parochie Trelawny, 30 minuten ten noorden van de internationale luchthaven Sangster. Onderweg kom je een aantal herkenningspunten tegen voor bijv. * Scotchies Restaurant dat bekend staat om Authentieke Jamaicaanse Jerk * Cinnamon Hill-golfbaan * Rose Hall Groothuis * William Knibb Hill School, waar de snelste man ter wereld, The Legend Usain Bolt, aanwezig was. Zodra u op uw bestemming bent aangekomen, begint uw ervaring.

Beside the fact that we were picked up an hr later then our schedule time, I’d say every thing else about this trip was 10/10 experience. If you want to beat the crowds and have a private experience do early morning raft and preferably weekdays. We raft on 9-10am on a Thursday. We were the first raft out on lake and it was glorious. The water feels nice the views were spectacular. Our raft captain name Peter he very very nice and friendly. He was not pushy on things we didn’t want to buy or do. He is very informative on the area, different type of exotic plants , and history of the place. He slow down and let me take pictures and buy coconut. It was so refreshing. Our driver name Ken he picked us up from our hotel smooth ride straight to the raft. He prepared our fee and we have to sign waivers then go straight to the raft. Ps the compliment drink they give at the raft was just juice not bottle of water but it is available to be purchased if needed to take beer or water to the raft. Remember it about 45-hr rafting down the river depend on captain’s pace no bathroom until the end of rafting so use it before get on the raft. Bring cash where will be things we can buy like coconut and handmade souvenirs. Overall it was a fun excursion that I would recommend people to try.

Highly recommend this tour. Private driver that picks you up at the lobby & drives straight to the River. Big thanks to Olando! He got us there in great timing and we were the first on the river so our cruise down felt very private. He also took some pics of us at different spots along our river ride. Our Raft Captain, Johnson was nice and very experienced. I would come back to this tour, hopefully when the Jerk Stops on the side of the river open back up for operation. I will say bring some bug spray!

This was such a lovely and beautiful experience. Olando was on time and suggested we head out to the river to beat the cruise ship crowds…my friends and I were the first and only ones on the river. The raft drivers were kind and funny and we all came away with hand carved calabashes. So beautiful and would HIGHLY recommend this excursion.

We booked this excursion via Island Routes during our stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean. We were picked up at our resort and had limited stops to the river launch point. Once we launched, we had a very delightful and enlightening three mile ride down the river. We learned much about Jamaica as we were guided down the river. My wife opted for the limestone massage and was very pleased with the outcome. I piloted the roft during her massage. The excursion is one we would definitely recommend.

It was so peaceful and relaxing. Our tour guide Olando was amazing and was so patient with us when we made a mistake with our booking. I would 100% do that again. Just sitting on the water and relaxing. He also took some amazing pictures of us.

The highlight of the tour was the drive to and from the Location. Orlando made the whole trip amazing. From the moment he picked us up from the hotel i felt like i was picked up by a family member i felt at home immediately. He was kind, approachable professional and excellent communication skills. Always smiling and ready to assist with all our enquiries. He never once made us feel like he was in a rush or anything he was so polite. Thank to Island Life Tours for making our trip a memorable one. Olando was super cool with plenty jokes. LOL. It was my friend's first time to Jamaica and he was very prompt and accomodating to any requests she may have had (ie ATM stops, store runs etc..) We felt completely safe and at ease at all times as if we were no longer on an actual tour but instead parring with a long time friend.
