The tour got off on the wrong foot from the very start. Our guide, Ismail, was 20 minutes late, and then spent the first 15 minutes talking about himself and his running achievements, even showing us pictures from when he was younger. By the time we finally reached the attraction, it was so late that the site was already packed with people. Ismail came across as unpersonable and repeatedly scolded us for not remembering things he had just explained. The worst part was that nearly 50% of the tour was dedicated to selling us rugs, jewelry, and spices. At the end, I gave him the amount we had agreed upon beforehand, but he kept complaining, insisting he deserved more. All in all, it was far from the best guided tour experience.
