Onze activiteit is echt uniek omdat het authentieke handgemaakte marmersnijwerk combineert met historische en culturele onderdompeling in een inspirerende omgeving. Gelegen in het hart van het historische centrum van Athene, op slechts een steenworp afstand van iconische monumenten en oude sculpturen, biedt onze werkplaats een ongeëvenaarde artistieke ervaring. Onze ruimte herbergt de MarbleArt-collectie en biedt een unieke omgeving vol artistiek erfgoed. Deelnemers kijken niet alleen naar een demonstratie – ze nemen deel aan een volledig interactieve ervaring, werken met authentieke traditionele handgereedschappen, net als de oude ambachtslieden ooit deden. Onze deskundige beeldhouwers begeleiden hen stap voor stap en zorgen ervoor dat ze hun eigen marmeren kunstwerk maken, dat ze als een blijvende herinnering mee naar huis nemen.

Very unique and interesting workshop. The instructor really helped you explore marble carving as an art and get into a creative mind set. Welearned about the history of marble carving and got very clear demonstrations for proper technique so that we protected our wrists. Well worth the cost, I'm super pleased with this unique souvenir from my trip to Greece!
This has most certainly been an unforgettable part of our trip in Athens. The instructor and his co-instructor clearly have a lot of experience in this field in the way they explain the marble carving process and demonstrations, as well as the instructor's help with coming up with what to carve onto our marble slab by having us reflect on other marble carvings. It was so much fun, we used genuine tools for marble carving, and we got to interact with and make friends with other people in the workshop too. I would highly recommend this class, whether you are artsy or not. I sure am not, but still had a wonderful time :) that, and you obviously get to bring your unique carving home with you. That in of itself already is worth the workshop as you never know how much a piece of art on a marble slab would cost out there nowadays.

I booked it as an anniversary experience to enjoy a nice evening with my girlfriend, and I must say I didn't quite know what to expect, but I was completely convinced and satisfied with the course. The guides were nice and competent, spoke good English, and created a great atmosphere. They also gave us as much time as we needed to carve our symbol. 10/10 would do again.
Absolutely amazing experience. The class was so much more than a simple marble sculpting class. It felt like a real introduction to art itself. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and took time to explain the history, theory, and meaning behind marble sculpting before guiding us through the hands-on process. What I loved most was that we were encouraged to create our own design rather than just copy something. The instructor was genuinely passionate about helping everyone bring their ideas to life. Working with marble was challenging but incredibly fun, and the atmosphere made it fun and approachable even for beginners. One of the highlights of my trip and something I’ll remember for a very long time. Highly recommend to anyone interested in art, creativity, or trying something truly unique.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time doing this. The host was knowledgeable and accommodating, and his assistant Daphne was absolutely amazing. Even though my carving wasn't very good she was relentlessly encouraging and provided lots of help asking with a good dose of humour. We never felt rushed through the process despite the fact that we ran past the scheduled end time. This was our favourite activity from our 5 days in Athens and I would highly encourage anyone who wants to try something uniquely Greek to consider this.

This was a nice exposure to marble carving/sculpting. The host and assistants were friendly and knowledgeable. They made everyone successful. We found the act of sculpting and chiseling to be relaxing.
The Marble Arts team was absolutely fantastic. You can tell they are passionate about teaching and sharing the experience of marble carving. This is an experience you cannot pass on when you are visiting Athens!
A must do experience while in Athens! The host was very knowledgeable and gave us history as well as a creative exercise to help us tap into our artist mind. Christina was so sweet and an excellent artist. She helped us create our sketches for our marble and was very hands on and encouraging through the whole experience. So grateful I gave this a try and now I have a one-of-a-kind souvenir to commemorate my time in Athens ! 10/10 would recommend
