Wat deze tour echt uniek maakt, is de mogelijkheid om de magie van het zeilen aan boord van het majestueuze tallship Manitou op de adembenemende Grand Traverse Bay te ervaren. Dit is niet zomaar een boottocht; het is een onderdompeling in het tijdperk van zeilen. Gedurende twee onvergetelijke uren wordt u uitgenodigd om actief deel te nemen aan het hijsen van de zeilen, de kracht van de wind te voelen terwijl de motor wordt uitgeschakeld en het schip stil over het water glijdt. - Alle passagiers moeten rubberen sneakers/tennisschoenen met zachte zolen of sandalen dragen.
- Zelfs op het hoogtepunt van de zomer is het meestal koeler op het water. We raden aan om een jasje of trui bij je te hebben.

I had a great time sailing with Captain Jamie and his team! They were well run from a guest perspective and I will join them again. If you enjoy hearing stories definitely sit near the bow/captain; he's be in the industry for a long time and has some good ones. Most of the trip was light on wind, but it didn't keep us from having fun!
Went solo on this excursion & was taken good care of! The crew, captain and staff were all excellent, engaging, and very friendly. They offer drink and snacks for a fee. Definitely try the sweet wine! Would love to go again during sunset.
This was a very relaxing experience. Enjoyed our time sailing on Lake Michigan. I would do this again. The captain and crew were very knowledgeable

I took my tour group on a wonderful 2 hour excursion on the Manitou. Everyone loved it and they are still talking about it. It was a lovely evening as we sailed in Grand Traverse Bay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Beverages were available for purchase. The captain explained about the history of the bay and it's inhabitants over the years. I highly recommend this memorable excursion. It'll be a highlight of your visit to Traverse City.

Fabulous experience! It was wonderful to watch the sails come to life under the hands of passengers. I learned a ton about the boat, the water and the area we saw. The crew was so personable. I definitely recommend this schooner experience.

Evening sail is closer to 90 minutes versus the 2 hours listed. Staff were all friendly and helpful. It was nice to actually sail, but a little disappointed that the sail boat had no speed and the scenery never really changed. We left the dock and went for about 45 minutes into the middle of the lake and turned around and came back. I was hoping to see more along the shore.
