Slechts een paar minuten afstand van alle drukte van Sarasota is onze favoriete lokale strand, Turtle Beach. Het is slechts een paar korte mijl van de belangrijkste Siesta Key strand naar Turtle Beach en de Sarasota County trolley zet je daar. Niet alleen is dit gebied zo'n mooie en rustige plek, het is ook een geweldige plek om te peddelen! We beginnen op de intercostal en peddelen over een kort kanaal naar de baai. We peddelen rond de mangrove eilanden door een mangrove tunnel of twee en langs een vogelkwekerij. We peddelen rond de mangrove eilanden van Jim Neville Marine Preserve en dan naar een "geheim" strand. Dit strand is alleen bereikbaar per boot dus we mogen het voor onszelf hebben. Zo’n mooie plek voor een snelle duik of gewoon even stoppen om te ontspannen. Misschien wil je hier de hele dag blijven. Deze locatie is de thuisbasis van allerlei soorten wild, waaronder zeekoeien, dolfijnen, prachtige zee- en kustvogels en veel vis. www.surfitusa.com

Dit gebied is een rustige reeks mangrove-eilanden in Little Sarasota Bay doorspekt met schaduwrijke tunnels en getijdenkreken; een uitstekende habitat voor waadvogels, jonge vissen, roggen en af en toe een zeekoe.
Midnight Pass Beach (Siesta Key) — een wilde, onontwikkelde strook wit kwartszand op de zuidelijke punt van Siesta Key waar de Golf samenkomt met Little Sarasota Bay; bekend om beschietingen, kustvogels en een van de meest afgelegen strandaanlandingen in het gebied.

Great kayak tour to an area that is only accessible by boat, SUP or kayak. Beautiful spot. Always find sharks teeth here. Very informative of the area. I've done this three times over the past 18 months. Each time the beach area changes.

I had a wonderful weekend stay at this condo and would absolutely stay here again. The space is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and felt clean and welcoming the moment I walked in. It smelled good, and every room was clean—especially the bathroom, which I really appreciated. The condo is also very well-stocked with thoughtful touches. Included are towels, full kitchen tools, beach chairs and beach towels. It was temperature-controlled with AC and ceiling fans throughout, which made the stay extra comfortable. There were smart TVs in the bedroom and living room, with easy access to popular streaming services like Netflix. I slept very well and didn’t hear any noise from neighboring units. The location is incredible. I booked an excursion that ended up being two minutes away. The beach is only about a two to three-minute drive. It’s the perfect spot for convenience and relaxation. One of my favorite features was the outdoor space. There’s a full patio in the back along with a beautiful dock overlooking the water. It’s such a serene, unique setting, and if you’re adventurous, you could even swim right there behind the condo. Lastly, the hosts were excellent—very responsive and typically replied within 5 to 15 minutes. I truly have no complaints and highly recommend this stay.
