Onze gidsen zijn gecertificeerde Advanced Master Naturalists en inwoners van Zuid-Florida die al meer dan 15 jaar het grootste deel van hun leven peddelen en rondleidingen geven. We zijn gepassioneerd door onderwijs en het beschermen van de prachtige ecosystemen van Florida. Onze groepen zijn klein meestal 10 gasten of minder die een persoonlijke ervaring bieden. Kleinere groepen vergroten ook de kans om een verscheidenheid aan wilde dieren van dichterbij te observeren. Zodra u boekt, neemt een van onze medewerkers contact met u op om de tour te plannen.

Onze reis begint met een korte instructie en veiligheidsinstructies terwijl we ons voorbereiden op kajak door ongerepte mangrovepaden. We beginnen onze peddel in een rustige, afgelegen baai die voldoende oefening mogelijk maakt voordat we vertrekken. Peddel door kronkelende mangrovetunnels en observeer inheemse vogels en ander wild leven, waaronder veel bedreigde diersoorten, in hun natuurlijke habitat. De omstandigheden in dit gebied zijn meestal rustig en zorgen voor een aangename ervaring. Zodra u boekt, nemen we contact met u op en beantwoorden we uw vragen.

This was a master class in the flora and fauna of this part of Florida. Our guide was very informative and engaging with our tons of questions about the plants, birds etc in this area. It's so great to learn of the history of this park and how the ocean ecosystem interacts with it all. If you want to be outside, get some exercise and do a deep dive on local waterline, this is the tour for you.

When I booked this Salty Souls trip, I was looking for something unobtrusive (kayaks not big boats) and informative. This trip was more remarkable than I had realized because 1. Ariana is an amazing naturalist guide willing to impart a wealth of knowledge about the special nature of this place and 2. The tour location is a county park that excludes motorcraft and is in an area unaffected by the engineering feats that have wrecked the filtering work of the mangrove ecosystem—things I didn’t know when I booked. Our small group got to paddle through the peace and wonder of this mangrove habitat, an amazing opportunity, and Ariana helped us spot plants and wildlife I would have missed. She took great pictures, too, which she shared with us—so we weren’t in danger of losing our phones forever if we dropped them in the murk! The tour helped me, a first-time visitor to Florida, appreciate the uniqueness of this special part of the country.

Such a fun experience with our five year old. We saw so many sea creatures that Ariana went out of her way to find and tell us about! Beautiful day and such a fun learning experience! Highly recommend! Ariana is so knowledgeable, was so great with our daughter, and also sent us a bunch of pictures at the end of the day. We will be back!
