Manatee Season Alert : Koelere dagen betekenen betere kansen om zeekoeien te spotten! Avontuur door Tarpon Springs in je 100% heldere kajak! Begin je reis peddelend over de schilderachtige Anclote River. Onderweg leer je over de fascinerende geschiedenis van de iconische Sponge Docks van Tarpon Springs en de levendige Griekse cultuur van het gebied. Het avontuur gaat verder met een stop bij een sereen mangrove eiland. Hier zal uw Gids u helpen zoeken naar vogels, krabben en andere verborgen wezens die het eiland thuis noemen. Glijd door de pittoreske baaiachtige, langs prachtige herenhuizen in Victoriaanse stijl en het charmante Craig Park. Uw route brengt u naar Spring Bayou, een warmwaterreservaat dat vaak wordt bezocht door lamantijnen tijdens de koelere maanden. Hou je ogen open voor deze zachte reuzen! Je Gids zal fascinerende inzichten delen, je vragen beantwoorden en ervoor zorgen dat je een onvergetelijke ervaring hebt met peddelen door het prachtige water van Tarpon Springs!

We peddelen over de Anclote rivier en bezoeken een mangrove eiland dat een grote verscheidenheid aan wilde dieren herbergt. Houd je ogen open voor een verscheidenheid aan vogels, krabben en zelfs een dolfijn! We praten ook over de Sponge Docks en de geschiedenis van het sponsen in Tarpon Springs. Als je geluk hebt, zie je misschien zelfs een sponsboot in de Anclote River! Wildlife waarnemingen zijn willekeurig en niet gegarandeerd.
Je peddelt door de prachtige baai van Tarpon Springs en stopt bij Craig Park, dat in het hart van Tarpon Springs ligt. Je peddelt langs de ongelooflijke herenhuizen in Victoriaanse stijl van de eerste kolonisten van de stad in de 19e eeuw.
Je gaat op zoek naar zeekoeien terwijl je gids je de weg wijst naar Spring Bayou - waar je vanuit je heldere kajak het uitzicht op "Golden Crescent" in je opneemt! Wees op je hoede voor zeekoeien als ze naar de lucht komen. Zeekoeien gebruiken het warmere water van Spring Bayou als toevluchtsoord tijdens de wintermaanden.

My husband and I had a great time on the kayak tour. We saw dolphins playing in the water by us, flocks of pelicans, and many manatees. Our guide Alex was friendly and knowledgeable, taught us a lot about the wildlife. Highly recommend.

We had a great time on our glass bottom kayaking tour out of Tarpon Springs. We saw plenty of manatees, a couple dolphins and lots of pelicans. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, and I really liked how respectful she was of the manatees. She made sure we stayed a safe amount of distance away from them but still had plenty of opportunities to see them pop up close by. It takes a bit of time to get to the manatees which we expected. The way out was pretty smooth, but coming back, the current and wind made it very difficult. I recommend considering this when booking. Upper body strength is definitely important.

Great guide, they were gracious with us arriving a few minutes late. The area itself was a bit underwhelming, given there no were no manatees.

Great weather and the guide was very friendly and interactive with the group. Unfortunately we did not see any manatees which is why we booked the tour, but overall a good experience.

Our guide Raven was so casual & fun to help everyone on our tour feel comfortable & confident in the kayaks. We were fortunate to see four dolphins fishing and playing, even breaching. We got to see one manatee and spent time watching him surface on his good ole time. Much fun!
