De tour begint met het bezoek van de Maltese hoofdstad Valletta na het ophalen van de weg naar Barraca-tuinen voor een uniek uitzicht op de Grand Harbour. Tijd voor een foto voor de Auberge de Castille, de oude zetel van de Tempeliers uit Castilië en nu de thuisbasis van de Maltese premier. Ga verder naar de Sint-Janskathedraal, waar meesterwerken van Caravaggio te vinden zijn.
Na een bezoek aan Valletta, bezoek je het Three Cities-gebied, zo genoemd vanwege de imposante vestingwerken die de steden Senglea, Vittoriosa en Cospicua door de eeuwen heen hebben beschermd, gelegen aan de overkant van de Grote Haven recht tegenover Valletta. Panoramische tour met een stop bij de Gardjola-tuinen in Senglea, waar u een adembenemend uitzicht op de grote haven kunt bewonderen, voordat u doorgaat naar Birgu-Vittoriosa voor een korte wandeling door dit karakteristieke stadje dat nog steeds de authentieke Maltese geest behoudt.
De tour gaat verder naar de karakteristieke vissershaven van Marsaxlokk, waar je na een korte wandeling langs de zee om de karakteristieke boten genaamd luzzu te bewonderen, een typische lunch met vis hebt in een restaurant aan de haven. Onderweg stop je op het panoramische punt van waaruit je de beroemde Blauwe Grot van Malta kunt bewonderen. Vrije tijd om wat foto's te maken en verder te gaan naar de nabijgelegen megalithische tempels
Stop en optioneel bezoek aan de megalithische tempels van Hagar Qim en Mnejidra, de meest suggestieve megalithische constructies in Malta en gedateerd vóór de piramides in Egypte. Als u de rondleiding wilt bezoeken, zal de gids u begeleiden en u deze werkelijk unieke site laten zien. Als je de tempels niet wilt bezoeken, gaan we verder naar de Dingli-kliffen voor een panoramisch beeld.
We bezoeken vervolgens de middeleeuwse stad Mdina. Mdina is gebouwd op een plateau in het midden van het eiland, de oude barokke gebouwen van de stad, de kathedraal en prachtige bastionmuren domineren de landelijke skyline. Mdina, ooit de hoofdstad van Malta tot de moderne stad Valletta werd gebouwd in 1566, heeft veel namen gehad, waaronder Melite, Medina (Arabische bezetting), Citta Notabile en Citta Vecchia (nadat Valletta was gebouwd). Tegenwoordig wordt het ook wel de Stille Stad genoemd, omdat het op elk moment van de dag of nacht rust uitstraalt. De enige manier om deze stad echt te ervaren en te genieten is te voet, verken de schilderachtige steegjes, smalle straatjes, oude gebouwen en prachtige verreikende uitzichten vanaf de hoge bastionmuren. My wife and I had a recent Italian and Malta holiday and Soleto Travel through Omar arranged the Malta accommodation and private car transport and day trip arrangements. A week in mid Sept of convenience with airport and hotel pick up, day tours with guides to see all the beautiful Malta highlights, a country with such a rich history. Safe driver and informative guides along with excellent accommodation at Hotel Juliani, Spinola Bay. Omar also arranged for a pick up at Pisa airport, visit and lunch in Lucca and car transfer to Florence. Highly recommend Soleto Travel & Omar for excellent and prompt communication and tour arrangement services.

The two-day tour experience Charmaine and John provided was OUTSTANDING and I cannot speak highly enough of them both. Charmaine was extremely knowledgeable, kind and attentive. She worked hard to tailor the information and service she provided to my interests. Johnathan was professional, reliable and his vehicle was clean and comfortable. Malta is a very special place to visit and by the end of the two days I felt I had some lovely memories to take away and had made some new friends. Our tour guide and driver were INCREDIBLE! She was so knowledgeable and due to her being a local, she was able to take us to places that were less traveled. This allowed us to stand or sit and take in the sights for as long as we wanted to. She was very thoughtful and took ample pictures of us. Our driver had wet wipes in the car. TIP: carry tissue for the toilets and hand sanitizer as often there is no toilet paper or soap in bathrooms. We had two additional stops that weren’t on the itinerary but they were serene and places the tour guide and driver frequent in their personal time. We got to overlook the Blue Lagoom vs. being in the crowds and pulled over to the side of the road for a panoramic view of Mdina! WORTH EVERY PENNY! Please tip your tour guide and driver.
We arranged two full-day private sightseeing tours with Soleto, one in advance of arriving in Malta and the other after we arrived. They were easy to work with via email and WhatsApp. We were impressed with the knowledgeable and personable guides and drivers and the cleanliness and comfort of their vehicles. At the end of each day we felt like we'd had a rich Malta experience and had made new friends.
Our tour of Valletta and pre-history sites was amazing. Our guide, Julia, has exceptional knowledge of the history of Malta. Alex our driver did a great job navigating. We enjoyed a delicious lunch too!
We couldn't have asked for more on this incredible adventure through Maltese history which Dennis brought to life so vividly. He was a responsive tour guide, answering our off the cuff questions with friendly ease. And our driver was terrific. This company went out of their way to accommodate our requests, and were very good at communication.
Guide Dennis and driver Jonathan were excellent! Dennis was so knowledgeable, interesting and fun. It was raining (rare on Malta), so we had to improvise and make the best of it. Dennis was cheerful and kept us dry by creatively changing up the tour. He had the right balance of being with us and giving us privacy. Lunch was excellent at a “local flavor” place filled with locals. We learned a lot and had a great day! Highly recommend!
My husband it a history buff and loved the background and stories that Dennis (our guide) provided as he led us through this magnificent city! I did not know much about Malta before this tour and I absolutely fell in love with the architecture and history of this area. If you want a thorough comprehensive tour Dennis is your man!
