Drach and Hams Caves zijn de meest spectaculaire ondergrondse schoonheden van Mallorca en bieden je een onvergetelijke natuurlijke show. De Drach-grotten behoren tot de meest bezochte in Europa en velen beschouwen ze als het achtste wereldwonder. Het meer Martel, een van de grootste ondergrondse meren ter wereld, is het toneel van een klassiek muziekprogramma. De binnentemperatuur is heel aangenaam en constant gedurende het hele jaar: 21 graden Celsius. We raden aan tijdens het bezoek comfortabele schoenen te dragen. Ongeveer 1 uur reizen binnen de grotten. Entree inbegrepen in de tourprijs. Majorica produceert parels van hoge kwaliteit voor meer dan honderd jaar. De biologische parels zijn wereldwijd beroemd en het is bijna onmogelijk om ze te onderscheiden van de natuurlijke. De naam Porto Cristo, wat betekent "De haven van Christus" die het in 1260 na Christus kreeg ten tijde van de christelijke invasie van Mallorca, Een vissersboot werd aangespoeld op het strand gevonden met daarin een kruisbeeld. Volgens de legende droeg een os een icoon van God door de stad, en de os stopte en weigerde meer te lopen. Vandaar dat de mensen dit als een teken zagen en de naam was afgeleid van dat geloof dat het een duidelijk teken was dat Christus hier wilde zijn.
Majorica, gemaakt in Manacor, produceert al meer dan honderd jaar parels van hoge kwaliteit. Onze Tour begint in Camí de la Escollera voor de kathedraal van Palma. Palma werd gesticht als een Romeins kamp op de overblijfselen van een Talaiotische nederzetting. De stad werd tijdens de val van het West-Romeinse rijk onderworpen aan verschillende vandaalaanvallen, daarna heroverd door het Bizantijnse rijk, vervolgens gekoloniseerd door de Moren (die het Medina Mayurqa noemden) en, in de 13e eeuw, door James I van Aragon.

We enjoyed the caves but found the transport experience difficult. We were picked up from our hotel to be taken to the port. We waited an additional 20 minutes for the next coach to arrive which then had broken air con. We arrived at the caves 2 hrs 15 after our initial pick up. This was then repeated on the way back with the need to change coaches again.

It is a highly recommended excursion, from the guide who explains things in great detail, to the landscapes that you appreciate throughout the tour. The Serra Tramuntana is not to be missed; it is a world heritage site you have to see if you are in these parts. The stop on the way to Sa Calobra was unbeatable with fresh orange juice before continuing on. To the great spectacle that is the Torrent de Pareis, an iconic place. Then you get on the ferry to start other adventures, first a ride on the vintage tram and then the train that goes through more than ten tunnels. IMPRESSIVE!!
The caves are beautiful however the guides inside rush you out and you really don’t get a full experience

Horrible excursion. Horrible guide, excursion is misleading as to the actual excursion. The boat portion is a whole 20 meters. That is not an exaggeration. And you have to wait in line an extended period time if you want to do it. No reason to do so.

The bus was 45 minutes late!! When it finally did come, we were hushed on board and couldn't talk....just like little kids. Quite strenuous climbing many steps which was difficult for one member of our group. Very humid made it difficult to breathe. The cave formations was fascinating.

The Drach Caves are amazing to see. The Pearl Shop was just a bathroom break for most on the bus. Not one person bought anything. Just a collaboration to push tourists through. The biggest issue is that my friend and I spent 3 hours on the bus after the tour to arrive at our pick up destination. This was due to miscommunication on part of the tour operators. We were so late that we lost a dinner reservation at a restaurant we had planned on visiting. Very frustrating and upsetting .

20 min late on pick up, fantastic communications via wats app. Pearl shop a lot of cheap nasty stuff at inflated prices, shop next door better. Photo for advertising tour implies WE would be on boat ride not the musicians. Music great. Way toooooo many people in caves at one time need smaller groups
