Ga mee op een panoramische tour over het kristalheldere water van het magische Maligne Lake, gevoed door de gletsjers van Jasper National Park. Glijd langs de grillige bergtoppen terwijl we cruisen naar Spirit Island, een wereldberoemde bestemming die alleen per boot bereikbaar is.

Uw 90 minuten durende cruise van het meer begint aan de kade in de buurt van het Maligne Lake Boathouse en Chalet. Boten vertrekken ongeveer op het uur en uw ticket is goed voor elke reis tijdens de geselecteerde dag. Na het instappen trekt u zich terug van de steiger en wordt u getrakteerd op een volledig navertelde, interpretatieve tour door de unieke geschiedenis en speciale ecologie van het gebied. Elke boot is glas omsloten en volledig verwarmd, zodat u warm blijft terwijl u majestueuze uitzichten ervaart tijdens de reis.
Vanaf Spirit Island, dat alleen bereikbaar is per boot in de buurt van het midden van het meer, wordt u getrakteerd op enkele van de meest spectaculaire uitzichten die u overal ter wereld kunt vinden. Grillige, met sneeuw bedekte toppen omringen een meer met helder blauw water en eeuwenoud bos. Wilde dieren snuffelen regelmatig langs de kustlijn, dus houd je camera dichtbij en je zintuigen alert terwijl je het gebied afspeurt naar de adelaars, beren en herten die dit gebied hun thuis noemen. Zowel deskundige als amateurfotografen zullen worden getrakteerd op ongelooflijke kansen om te proberen de natuurlijke pracht om hen heen te documenteren, terwijl ze erkennen dat geen enkele foto recht kan doen aan het alpine landschap dat hen omringt. Elke cruise duurt ongeveer 90 minuten, waarna u terugkeert naar het boothuis waar u een warm drankje of een hapje kunt eten van de nabijgelegen lodge en chalet.

- Maligne Lake ligt op een uur van de Jasper townsite. Zorg dat je vroeg aankomt voor het parkeren en inchecken en dat je 15 minuten voor vertrek klaarstaat om aan boord te gaan. Tijdens het zomerseizoen kunnen verkeer en parkeren langer duren dan verwacht.
- Maligne Lake is een afgelegen locatie met beperkte mobiele service en geen Wi-Fi — we raden u aan uw e-tickets van tevoren te downloaden.
- Gemiste cruises worden niet gerestitueerd, en cruisetijden kunnen enigszins variëren als gevolg van bedrijfsomstandigheden.
- Check in bij de dokken van de rondvaartboot en volg de bewegwijzering ter plaatse naar uw vertrekgebied.
- Zitplaatsen zijn niet toegewezen en beschikbaar op basis van wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt, met een prachtig uitzicht vanaf elke stoel.
- Houd er rekening mee dat cruises tot 15 minuten langer kunnen duren dan gepland om te voldoen aan de Transport Canada wake regelgeving.

I took the cruise early in the season when there was still snow on the ground. My tour guide Sydney was incredible - very knowledgeable - and the captain Carson can make the best cow noise I have ever heard - I have been dreaming about it ever since.

We had an incredible experience on our July 26 cruise. Assembling passengers and embarking/disembarking was well organized and efficient. The 2x2 seating is comfortable with plenty of large windows for viewing. There is a small deck at the rear (stern) for anyone wanting to step outside for photos (standing room only). Captain Nelson was fantastic, gliding us smoothly over the lake, gently crossing wakes from passing boats, minimizing wakes when passing canoes and very smooth docking skills. Tour guide Asher was excellent and an asset to have on staff. Truely the best guide we experienced during our two weeks traveling Banff+Jasper. He was welcoming, charismatic and knowledgable. His stories with integrated jokes felt natural and not scripted. The 15-20 min stop at Spirit Island gave us plenty of time to explore and soak in the views. Although you could easily spend hours watching the views change as clouds roll by with their shadows rolling along the landscape. On the return ride is when Asher really shined. We had never experienced on any other tour what came next. In addition to asking the entire boat if there were any questions, he personally stopped at each row of seats to check-in with each person or couple to see if they had any questions/comments and make sure they were having a good time. If your answer was simply "OK" or "good" he didn't just walk away to the next person but would engage in light conversation by asking where you were traveling from, or seen wildlife, or if you had questions on the surrounding area or region. You could tell passengers loved the interaction as both sides would soon exchange stories or wildlife photos. Nelson and Asher kept all on board entertained so well we didn't realize the ride each way was over (45 min each way went by quickly). At the end everyone on board had smiles and no one appeared bored. An excellent cruise and well worth taking.

This boat ride was fabulous. Er had a fun guide named Maxwell who gave us a coupon for dinner at the Chalet that was also outstanding. The views on this boat cruise were outstanding, and there were good photo opportunities, and there was a lot of history shared and Maxwell crack some funny jokes, and it was very family friendly and we lucked out and had amazing weather
