The tour was a wonderful way to understand the Jewish vibe in Montreal during the 19th and 20th centuries. It really shows how integral the Jewish community was to the fabric of the city, and you can still feel that spirit present in the streets of the Mount Royal neighborhood today. Many thanks to Avery (I hope I spelled it right), who guided us with so much passion and energy!

I’m a former museum professional so please realize that. It was a good tour. Our earnest you g guide explained things on too simplistic a level for the mature audience. It seemed slow. Too much explaining without enough humor or anecdotes. Also should tell about today’s Jewish community and how neighborhood changed.

It was an excellent experience as a 1st generation immigrant myself to learn about the Jewish History in Montreal and I felt their resilience as well. I wish I had more educational background in history nonetheless it was still a very memorable experience. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal.
