Portland Head Light is een historische vuurtoren in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Het lichtstation bevindt zich op een stuk land bij de ingang van het primaire vaarkanaal naar de haven van Portland, in Casco Bay in de Golf van Maine. Het werd voltooid in 1791 en is de oudste vuurtoren in Maine.
Halfway Rock Lighthouse is een vuurtoren gelegen op een kale richel in Casco Bay, Maine. De vuurtorentoren, die een hoogte heeft van 23 meter, en het aangrenzende ex-botenhuis zijn het enige dat overblijft, aangezien de andere gebouwen tijdens stormen zijn weggenomen. De naam "Halfway Rock" komt van de positie van de rots die halverwege Cape Elizabeth en Cape Small ligt, de zuidwestelijke en noordoostelijke uiteinden van Casco Bay, die ongeveer 33 km uit elkaar liggen.

It was a great day even though we didn't see any whales. The seating is a little rough for 3.5 hours but I loved being right on the water
The boat was not what I expected. It was a rubber raft with roller coaster style seats. Very crampt and you had to hold on for your life, so it felt very adventurous. We did see a whale. The Captain and the tour guide seemed to not like each other so that made it weird.
Shocking request this. We received email the day before to tell us our trip was cancelled due to poor weather. After confirming this we requested and subsequently received a refund. However when we went into Portland on the day of our intended trip, another tour company were offering whale sightseeing trips !!!!!?! But had no available spaces. So so disappointing.
Very long boat ride. Seats were uncomfortable ,especially for older people. Didn’t see any whales at this time of yearz
I usually don’t leave bad reviews but other people might be in the same situation as us . We showed up this morning to go Whale Watching and it was cold and raining with more weather coming in. The boat was only about 25 foot with no cover from the weather with 13 passengers and 2 crew packed on a small boat and going a hour fifteen out in the deep water just didn’t feel safe. I’m not even sure if 15 people on a 25 foot boat is even remotely safe or legal.
Captain was fantastic and so was Neil. Very knowledgeable and really enjoyed rhe trip other than no whales :(
Pretty much a boat ride. Drove to spot where whales might be. Waited 5 minutes and drove more. Very little talking.
It was a good trip, kudos to the captain and 1st mate. Very knowledgeable and informative. We saw various marine life and followed 1 whale around and he got within 30ft of our boat. The whale even swam.under out boat! The captain did good job of not getting to close, but the whale had other ideas. I gave 4 stars for the size and uncomfortableness of boat. You could not move around and it was like sitting on a bicycle seat for 3 hrs.
The Whale Watch was fantastic! Guide and captain were great. Experience was tremendous. Would do it again in a second if the opportunity arises.
Realize that whales are migrating wild animals. We were fortunate to spot two Fin Tail whales, one less than 100 yards from the boat at the end of the season!! Being from a coastal town, I knew what to expect offshore. We were lucky that the seas were 1-2 feet and no more. The guides were knowledgeable and courteous. The boat was a bit small, but this was not a pleasure cruise, it was a whale watching adventure. Take the adventure!
