De Debod-tempel, een juweel van de Nijl, steen op steen naar Madrid gebracht om in Europa een complete Egyptische tempel te herbouwen die gered is van de Aswan Damm-constructie. Het is meer dan 2.220 jaar oud en was gewijd aan de god Amon.
Het meest indrukwekkende panoramische uitzicht over Madrid, vanaf de plek waar de stad in de 9e eeuw werd geboren uit de Debod-tempel.
Op het belangrijkste plein aan de westkant van de stad staat het standbeeld ter ere van Don Quichot en zijn schrijver Miguel de Cervantes.
Ontdek dit verbazingwekkende monumentale en tuinplein, het bevat de verzameling van 20 sculpturen van de oude Visigotische koningen van Spanje, uitgehouwen in steen, geflankeerd door het Royal Opera House en het Royal Palace en in het midden het paardensport bronzen beeld van koning Filips IV, ontworpen door Galileo Galilei en Velázquez.
Vanaf het buitenplein zullen we de majestueuze neogotische kathedraal van Madrid en zijn omringende landschap beschrijven.
Bezoek de buitenkant van het koninklijk paleis van Madrid, de officiële residentie van de koningen van Spanje. Onze officiële gids zal u het indrukwekkende historische en artistieke erfgoed uitleggen dat deel uitmaakt van dit enorme paleis.
Een historische wandeling vanaf de oude hoofdstraat van Madrid, door de oude stenen geplaveide straten, pleinen en smalle steegjes die de wijk Hasburgs uit de 15e eeuw vormen.
Het hart van het oude Madrid is dit oude stadsplein met het stadhuis "Plaza de la Villa" met zijn historische gebouwen en het standbeeld van Álvaro de Bazán, de grootadmiraal van de Spaanse Armada.
Bezoek de San Miguel-markt die wereldwijd bekend staat om zijn tapas- en delicatessenwinkels.
"Plaza Mayor" is het centrale plein van de oude stad, de locatie van middeleeuwse toernooien, inquisitieprocessen en zelfs stierengevechten, in het midden een ruiterstandbeeld van Filips III van Spanje, het is omgeven door restaurants en tapasbars, waaronder de oudste tavernes van de wereld.

That was absolutely incredible. Our guide Maria was amazing. Everything what she was saying was very interesting and she also answered all of my questions. She also gave us a lot of useful tips in the end of excursion like where to go to eat, about cool bars etc. Generally it was an amazing experience.
Maria was very pleasant and knew a lot to tell, especially in the historical, cultural, architectural and artistic fields. She also gave many tips for local eateries and other sights. She was very involved with the group (6 people). A very nice and educational experience, we can absolutely recommend it!

We received several confirmations about our tour that we had paid for -and then on the morning of the tour, we went to the prescribed meeting location and no one was there! I called the number and they said the tour had been canceled. No one bothered to tell us that!
