Een bruisend plein in de buurt van het historische Teatro Calderón, gevuld met locals en artiesten. Het is een geweldig voorbeeld van modern Madrid dat zich vermengt met charme van de oude wereld.
Deze levendige straat staat bekend als de "literaire wijk" en is gegraveerd met citaten van Spaanse schrijvers uit de Gouden Eeuw. Een rit door Huertas is een reis door de literaire geschiedenis.
We pauzeren in de buurt van het beroemdste museum van Spanje. Hoewel we niet binnenkomen, zal uw Gids de betekenis van deze instelling en enkele meesterwerken die erin zijn ondergebracht delen.
Een iconische neoklassieke fontein die de zeegod Neptunus voorstelt. Het is een symbool van de culturele trots van Madrid en het ontmoetingspunt voor fans van Atlético de Madrid.
We betreden officieel de meest geliefde groene ruimte van Madrid – een park van 125 hectare vol kunst, natuur en geschiedenis.
Het enige bekende openbare standbeeld ter wereld gewijd aan Lucifer. Dit sculptuur ligt op 666 meter boven zeeniveau en is zowel fascinerend als griezelig.
Een prachtig onderhouden rozentuin, met tientallen variëteiten in het voorjaar en de zomer. Een geurig, kleurrijk hoogtepunt van het park.
De meest gefotografeerde plek in het park. Dit spectaculaire glazen paleis reflecteert op een rustige vijver en herbergt roterende kunstinstallaties.
De grote Retiro Pond is een favoriet voor roeiboottochten. We stoppen om te genieten van het uitzicht op het water en de enorme colonnade en het standbeeld van Alfonso XII.
Een groots monument voor de voormalige koning, met een halfronde colonnade en een centraal standbeeld met uitzicht op het meer – een populaire verzamelplaats.
Een van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden van Madrid. Deze neoklassieke triomfboog diende ooit als stadspoort en staat nu als een trots symbool van Madrid.
Een prachtige fontein van de godin Cybele, vaak geassocieerd met Real Madrid voetbal vieringen. Het wordt geflankeerd door het prachtige Cybele Palace en andere belangrijke gebouwen.
Een van de oudste en langste straten van de stad, met diverse architectuur van barok tot modern. De rit hierlangs is een visueel feest.
Het centrale plein van Madrid en de symbolische “kilometer nul” van het Spaanse wegennet. We passeren deze levendige plek vol energie en stedelijk leven.
Eindig de tour op ons kantoor in het centrum van Madrid. Slechts een paar minuten lopen van de Opera metrohalte.

This morning, we found out our morning e-bike tour was canceled. We called Viator ASAP & schedule a new e-bike tour with this company. Jacob took us around Madrid with expertise& care (for the cars around us.) We'd recommend this company whole heartedly!
Jakob was Awesome!!! The ladies from Tennessee loved his expertise and knowledge about Spain. Riding the bikes were a lot of fun!!! Best Guide Ever!!!

I am awarding five stars because I feel I was treated very fairly by Wonder Tours on a recent visit. I booked this tour for my husband and myself. We arrived in Madrid the day before, and I got a ridiculous sunburn on both of my feet. We went to the meeting point, but by the time we got there, I was really concerned that I would not be able to make the ride, and I would spoil it for the other participants. Oscar, the guide, was kind and understood the situation. The woman at the reservation desk was also very kind and said that I would need to contact Viator. I contacted Viator when we returned home from vacation, and I was issued a partial refund for half the price of our tickets. I think that was fair, and I'm sorry we didn't get to take the tour. I bet it was a lot of fun. Wonder Tours Cares About Its Customers!

The tour was good! The guide could have been better at giving prompts or instructions beforehand, he would move on to the next location without much warning!

Although we chose a very hot time of day, we were very happy with our choice! It was just the three of us with our guide, so this was like a personal tour! We were very happy with Jacob and he made sure we knew how to use the bikes, stopped occasionally to teach about various Madrid sites, and gave us some free time within Retiro to view roses. He was also always willing to take our photos and made this one of the highlights of our 9-day trip to Madrid. We were very pleased with this experience!

we registered for the two hour Retiro bike ride. Instead, we got grouped in to a 3 hour city tour with Retiro park being the last hour.explained this to guide but he kept saying he was giving us the extra hour free. We didn’t want the city tour as we had already had this the day before. Also, 3 hours on a bike was more than we could handle. We had no choice, though, as the last hour was the only bit of Ritter park we would get.

Definitely not the tour we thought we signed up for! We wanted a tour of the park. Instead, 2/3 of our time was spent stopping at various city landmarks that we’ve already seen. The bikes are awkward with the most uncomfortable seats imaginable. And, finally, there are way too many people booked on this tour (15 or so) to be navigating through the streets, when riders have various bike skills. We would have been better off renting e-bikes and riding through the park ourselves.
