Beschrijving
U beklimt de op twee na hoogste berg van het eiland, Pico DE Arieiro, die een prachtig uitzicht op het eiland biedt. De volgende stop is Ribeiro Frio, het beginpunt van een beroemde levada (irrigatiekanaal) wandeling, waar u zich zult verwonderen over forellenpoelen en meer te weten kunt komen over het prehistorische bos dat Madeira bedekt. Na de lunch in het kleurrijke stadje Santana bezoekt u nog meer ongelooflijke uitkijkpunten zoals Ponta DE São Lourenço en stopt u bij Machico voordat u wordt afgezet bij uw accommodatie in Funchal.

De eerste stop is bij Terreiro da Luta, een prachtig uitzichtpunt op enkele kilometers van Funchal.
Pico do Arieiro, op een hoogte van 1818 meter, is het de op twee na hoogste top van het eiland en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht.
Ribeiro Frio, waar u de interessante forellenkwekerij kunt zien. Dit gebied heeft nog steeds veel van zijn oorspronkelijke vegetatie.
Santana wordt gekenmerkt door zijn kleine rietgedekte driehoekige huizen. Hier maken we onze hoofdstop voor de lunch.
Gelegen in het oostelijke deel van het eiland, is dit de plek waar een fantastische combinatie van rotsen, zee en natuur samenkomen.
De laatste stad die bezocht wordt, is Machico, een uitkijkpunt waar je de baai en het gouden zandstrand kunt bekijken.

Highlight of our week in Madeira. The minibus was on time, clearly marked and comfortable (reclining seats and decent air conditioning). Our guide Nuno was excellent, he didn't just rattle off a script, he actively engaged with the group. His recommendations for a Poncha bar and a restaurant for lunch were both outstanding. Timing-wise the day was efficient without feeling rushed.

Nuno was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. He took us to some fabulous places on the East side of Madeira and throughout the 8 hours, provided great commentary on the history and natural resources of the Island. We had the best Poncha at the last stop and the restaurant recommendation for lunch in Santana was excellent. Thank you Nuno !

Our tour was french and English.. would not recommend it the tour guide talked to much and a lot of information was boring and having to listen in both languages was torture. Listening non stop to him talk the whole day really ruined this day for us.
Great first time visiting the East side of the island of Madeira. A full day packed with beautiful sights and short walks. Our tour guide was great and explained everything to us and gave us lots of great information about the island! I would say that it is quite a long day in a bus so if you get travel sick take note! Lovely way to meet some people though and to visit the island. Pick up is very handy and the bus in air conditioned with comfortable seats. Overall would recommend !
Company kept us informed about pick up time from our hotel, Bruno our guide and driver arrived 5 minutes early. Journey around east of island was spectacular and a must do and Bruno was an amazing guide and driver, a wonderful 8 hours spent, don’t think about it just do it, you will not regret it.
Amazing! Words cannot explain how beautiful this island is. The East is just spectacular and breathtaking. This is a great tour! It is small, not too many people which makes it very enjoyable and personalized.
Good way to see the East side of Maderia. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and made it an interesting day. We got to travel in a small group (minibus). Pickup and drop off were good and the company were prompt at responding when using the Viator App.
