De Madaba-kaart, ook bekend als de Madaba-mozaïekkaart, maakt deel uit van een vloermozaïek in de vroeg-Byzantijnse kerk van Sint-Joris in Madaba, Jordanië. De Madaba-kaart toont een deel van het Midden-Oosten en bevat de oudste nog bestaande originele cartografische afbeelding van het Heilige Land en vooral Jeruzalem.
De top van de Siyagha, 700 m boven de Jordaanvallei met uitzicht op het NO van de Dode Zee, wordt verondersteld de berg Nebo te zijn, de plaats waar Mozes - de profeet die door de drie monotheïstische religies wordt vereerd - het Beloofde Land is getoond, en waar hij stierf. Tegenwoordig is de berg Nebo een actief gedenkteken, een Franciscaans klooster en een archeologische vindplaats die bezoekers uit de hele wereld trekt, niet alleen vanwege zijn historische en religieuze betekenis, maar ook vanwege de uitzonderlijke artistieke waarde van de architecturale overblijfselen en Byzantijnse mozaïeken die het conserven en tonen.
Gelegen aan de oostelijke oever van de rivier de Jordaan, negen kilometer ten noorden van de Dode Zee, bestaat de archeologische vindplaats uit twee verschillende gebieden: Tell Al-Kharrar, ook bekend als Jabal Mar-Elias (Elia's Hill) en het gebied van de kerken van Heilige Johannes de Doper in de buurt van de rivier. Gelegen in een ongerepte natuurlijke omgeving, wordt aangenomen dat de site de locatie is waar Jezus van Nazareth werd gedoopt door Johannes de Doper. Het beschikt over Romeinse en Byzantijnse overblijfselen, waaronder kerken en kapellen, een klooster, grotten die zijn gebruikt door kluizenaars en zwembaden waarin dopen werden gevierd, wat getuigt van het religieuze karakter van de plaats. De site is een christelijk bedevaartsoord.
De belangrijkste attractie aan de Dode Zee is het warme, rustgevende, superzoute water zelf – zo’n tien keer zouter dan zeewater, en rijk aan chloridezouten van magnesium, natrium, kalium, broom en verschillende andere. De ongewoon warme, ongelooflijk drijvende en mineraalrijke wateren trekken al sinds de oudheid bezoekers, waaronder koning Herodes de Grote en de prachtige Egyptische koningin Cleopatra. Ze hebben allemaal geluxeerd in de rijke, zwarte, stimulerende modder van de Dode Zee en dreven moeiteloos op hun rug terwijl ze de gezonde mineralen van het water opslorpen samen met de zacht verspreide stralen van de Jordaanse zon.

Our one-day tour to Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, and the Dead Sea was an unforgettable experience and without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Jordan. Although it was just a single day, it was packed with incredible history, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable memories. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, making the entire experience smooth, comfortable, and completely stress-free. The true highlight of our day was our wonderful driver, Hazem. From the moment he picked us up, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel genuinely welcome. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail immediately gave us confidence that we were in excellent hands. Throughout the day, Hazem was punctual, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible experience. Hazem shared fascinating information about Jordan's history, culture, and traditions during the drive, making every journey between destinations both enjoyable and educational. He was happy to answer every question we had and recommended excellent places for local food, coffee, and photos. His passion for his country was evident, and it made us appreciate Jordan even more. Our first stop was Madaba, the beautiful "City of Mosaics." Seeing the famous Byzantine mosaic map at St. George's Church was truly remarkable. We then continued to Mount Nebo, one of Jordan's most important historical and religious landmarks. Standing at the viewpoint where Moses is believed to have seen the Promised Land was an emotional and unforgettable moment. The panoramic views over the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and beyond were absolutely breathtaking. It was a peaceful place that offered both incredible scenery and a deep sense of history. Next, we visited the Baptism Site of Jesus (Bethany Beyond the Jordan). This was a truly special and meaningful experience. The atmosphere was peaceful and spiritual, and walking through one of Christianity's most significant pilgrimage sites was something we will never forget. Learning about its historical importance made the visit even more memorable. The perfect ending to our day was the Dead Sea. Floating effortlessly in the mineral-rich waters was an experience unlike anything we've ever had. The scenery was spectacular, and taking time to relax while enjoying one of the world's most unique natural wonders was the ideal conclusion to an amazing tour. The famous mineral mud treatment was also a lot of fun and left our skin feeling incredibly refreshed. Throughout the day, our transportation was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making every part of the journey relaxing. Hazem always made sure we had enough time at each destination without feeling rushed, while keeping the schedule perfectly organized. There was no tour and no experience, because the driver wasn’t there, we waited one hour. We hope to receive the money back soon.
when you booked the tour, you didn't add pickup location, and we sent you email before one day and try to call you, but didn't get any answer, and you booked for 1 PM for the tour, then you contacted us at 2 PM saying you wait the driver at you hotel, our team informed you that the driver need one hour to arrive, as you hotel was in the city center, and till you arrive to the site it will be closed, after all of that you sent us email threating if you didn't get a refund you will post a bad review, even when it was your mistake not providing your pickup location or answer our team
As soon as I booked the trip, I received a message from Lucy saying that the trip had been confirmed and that the driver, Nabeel, would be there at 10 AM in a black Ford to pick me up. When I asked for the driver's contact number, she refused to share it, saying it was confidential, and instructed me to be ready by 10. I was worried about my trip because I didn’t have any contact details, and when I messaged Lucy to inquire about the driver, she didn't respond the next day either. So, at 10 AM, I went to my hotel entrance, but thankfully, Nabeel was there waiting for me. We started the trip at 10 AM. The package included four destinations, with a set amount of time allocated for each. I spent almost half of the time at the first three locations—Madaba, Mt. Nebo, and the Baptism site—because I wanted to spend more time at the Dead Sea. We completed the first three destinations within 3 hours, instead of the allocated 3.5 hours. After visiting all three locations, we reached the Dead Sea at 1:50 PM. Upon arrival, the driver, Nabeel, told me to return by 3 PM. I explained that I wanted to spend more time there since the Dead Sea was the main highlight of the package. I told the driver that it would be difficult for me to go to the Dead Sea, swim, and return in just 1 hour and 10 minutes. The driver informed me that if I stayed longer, I would have to pay for the additional hours. He said he needed to get back to Amman as the allotted time was almost up, even though the time allocated for the Dead Sea was 3 hours. I pointed out that my package allowed for 3 hours at the Dead Sea and asked him to let me spend the full time, but he started arguing, saying, "No, you can't spend more time. I have other things to do. I need to get back," etc. My entire tour was supposed to end by 8 PM. I tried calling Lucy from Tour Experts, but she didn’t respond. After 5-10 minutes of trying to convince the driver, he finally agreed and said, "Okay, you can come back by 4 PM." I rushed to make the most of the time I had, swimming for only a few minutes, quickly taking a shower, and returning by 4:30 PM. After arriving at the hotel, I messaged Lucy to share my experience and told her that I would rate the service 1/5. Lucy then began threatening me, saying, "Don’t you dare leave a bad review. We will file a case against you, and we will find you even if you’re on the moon." She continued threatening that if I posted a bad review, she would make sure I couldn’t leave Jordan and that the police would take legal action against me. I have attached a screenshot of her messages. This was a terrible experience, and it ruined my entire trip to Jordan. I became very worried and even scared after hearing her words. Do not book through this tour operator. I want TripAdvisor to take legal action against this company and remove them from the platform, as they are ruining the experiences of guests who book through TripAdvisor.

Great trip to the holy sites with a super friendly and informative driver. Was a female solo traveller and felt pretty safe and relaxed for the whole day.
we had a great day, we visited so many sites then arrived to Dead Sea, enjoyed the lunch there and had a great time, for sure you can't swim there like any other sea, but we enjoyed using the mud of dead sea and relaxing, our driver Emad was so kind by giving a lot of information about each site
