Wij bieden hotel pick-up binnen het historische centrum van Cusco en tot 1 km rond het JW Marriott El Convento. Zorg dat u 10 minuten voor uw geplande ophaaltijd klaarstaat in de lobby van uw hotel. Ons team neemt contact met u op om de exacte tijd en locatie te bevestigen. We kunnen maximaal 30 minuten wachten; daarna wordt de service gemarkeerd als no-show. Ophalen : 4 : 00–5 : 00 AM of 7 : 00 - 8 : 00 AM. Duur : 12–14 uur. Aankomst in Machu Picchu : 8.00 uur of 12.00 uur. Terugkeer naar Cusco : 19.00 uur of 21.00 uur, afhankelijk van de vertrektijd. We confirmed 3 days ago. Our trip was scheduled for tomorrow. This morning my husband noticed on the PDF voucher in Viator APP that we needed to pick up our tickets to Machu Picchu in Cusco, my husband took a taxi to the address noted as the "ticket redemption location" to find nothing but grass at the location!! No building, nothing, which set us in motion that we had been taken, perhaps scammed. When he texted the tour company Viator booked us with “SALKANTAY TRAVEL PERU E.I.R.L", Anyhela who we have been communicating with since booking she NOW says that our tour is not available. No Tickets! This is past the Viator 24 hour cancellation period and no one was going to tell us??? Viator Rep says we will get a refund within 3-7 business days. But no trip to Machu Picchu tomorrow, or ever through Viator!! 🤬
My parents are active but slow walkers. The private guide adjusted immediately slower steps, more rest stops, and always finding shade. I visited Machu Picchu 5 years ago with a cheap group tour. It was chaotic and exhausting. This private trip showed me what I missed. The train had big, comfortable seats. We brought snacks, but the guide also had some emergency crackers for the kids. He even played a Inca trivia game with them during the bus ride. Our guide spoke Italian (my wife’s native language), which was so thoughtful. He explained the history of Machu Picchu in a way that was deep but not boring.
