Machu Picchu privédagtrip vanuit Cusco

All was great. Just hoping for better communication around tickets and timing in advance. We finished our tour but had to wait 8+ hours for our return train. All would have been good had we understood this in advance and could have planned accordingly. Only received our train tickets when we arrived at the train station just before 6am. Better communication in advance would have improved the experience. All in all still an amazing experience with the best guide we could have asked for. I don’t remember his full name but his nickname was Al. He was absolutely amazing and I would request him again the next time I visit.

It was a truly beautiful and mystical journey, with every place I visited in Cusco. Our guide was exceptional from the moment he met us at the airport until we returned to our destination; I was delighted with the service. I highly recommend Mr. Jorge—and all the guides who did their utmost to ensure a pleasant trip. I encourage everyone to visit Cusco and its enchanting sites, and to seek out these wonderful, respectful people to guide them during their visit.

Absolutely wonderful! The entire trip was cared for on all ends to leave myself to simply enjoy. You cannot put a price on that! All questions and concerns were promptly addressed and the guide was amazingly knowledgeable of the area. Even got us some perks for being known in the area. Could not recommend highly enough!

After booking a similar excursion weeks in advance and being stood up by a company called Peru Trekkers, this company really pulled through for us! Jorge was an amazing guide that led us through the complications of all the planning needed to make an amazing bucket list experience happen for us! In less then 24hrs, we were able to get confirmation, tickets and transportation from our hotel in Cusco to Aguas Calientes, personal escort to the train station, bus tickets and finally and amazing guided tour of Machu Picchu. Jorge showed us through Circuit 3 and parts of circuit 2 as the tour was ending. We can not speak highly enough about Jorge, his expertise and how his company came through for us in less then 24 hours after we were let down. Thank you saving the most important part of out trip for us.

Two of us already had this trip included in our Salkantay package. George helped us adding my wife and other daughter. In the process our trip to Machu Picchu became pretty much a private one. George helped us navigate the logistics and we had a great sunrise experience at Machupicchu with possibly the least amount of persons around us. We were able to take many family pictures with nobody else around. George added a lot of explanations around archeology, history and culture making the experience more contextual and meaningful.

First of all you are so disconnected from reality it is interesting!! Your customer support team initiated a refund for us as the cancellation came within the 24hr window. One would think that registered with your feedback mechanism?!! We never got to go on our trip, your trusted local operator canceled on us the day before. Unfortunately for you we will be bad publicity for you and likely never book another trip with you!!

We went to Peru to meet Machu Picchu and Mrs. Angela with whom I talked via WhatsApp canceled my trip 2 days before. Totally frustrating. I spent on traveling , we stopped working and we didn 't go . Ms. Angela was totally irresponsible not to warn us in advance. Used a fire that occurred on 4/08 to cancel our trip on 10/08. All travelers we found in Cusco made their trip to Machu Picchu without problems Nobody understood why she did this to us.

We confirmed 3 days ago. Our trip was scheduled for tomorrow. This morning my husband noticed on the PDF voucher in Viator APP that we needed to pick up our tickets to Machu Picchu in Cusco, my husband took a taxi to the address noted as the "ticket redemption location" to find nothing but grass at the location!! No building, nothing, which set us in motion that we had been taken, perhaps scammed. When he texted the tour company Viator booked us with “SALKANTAY TRAVEL PERU E.I.R.L", Anyhela who we have been communicating with since booking she NOW says that our tour is not available. No Tickets! This is past the Viator 24 hour cancellation period and no one was going to tell us??? Viator Rep says we will get a refund within 3-7 business days. But no trip to Machu Picchu tomorrow, or ever through Viator!! 🤬

My parents are active but slow walkers. The private guide adjusted immediately slower steps, more rest stops, and always finding shade. He even arranged for my dad to sit on a stone wall while he explained the history. Train seats were near the exit to minimize walking. The staff helped my mom onto the bus to Machu Picchu. They felt like royalty, not burdens. This tour is worth double the price for how well they treated my parents. Thank you from our whole family.
