Tijdens deze begeleide tour reist u heen en terug vanuit Aguas Calientes. Je hoort het inside verhaal over het koninklijk graf, Sacred Plaza en Sun Gate. Begin de tour in Aguas Calientes om de bus naar Machu Picchu te nemen. De 25 minuten rijden klimt door nevelwoud met een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Kom aan bij de ingang, check in met je paspoort en ticket en begin aan een 2-3 uur durende rondleiding door de citadel. Ontdek iconische plekken zoals de Tempel van de Zon, Intihuatana, Sacred Plaza en meer, terwijl je leert over de geschiedenis van de Inca's. Daarna kunt u genieten van vrije tijd of optionele wandelingen naar Huayna Picchu of Machu Picchu Mountain (indien toegestaan). Daal af met de bus of wandel over het schilderachtige bospad terug naar Aguas Calientes. Ontspan met lunch en winkelen voordat u aan boord stapt van uw trein naar Ollantaytambo of Cusco. Guide knew their stuff and kept us moving but at a reasonable pace for people not used to 8,000 feet elevation. Assisted with photos and getting us to and from the location.
Eliud is a pleasant, cultured, and especially patient person. We had a wonderful time in his company. We recommend the activity!!
My voucher said that we would be picked up at 8 am at our hotel. We didn’t get picked up until 11 with little or no communication with the tour company. I will say that our guide was excellent and he is excluded from this bad review. I have used Viator in the past but won’t in the future.
