Wandel door regenwoud- en bananenboerderijen naar de prachtige Materuni-watervallen, geniet van een praktische Chagga-koffie-ervaring met lokale lunch en bezoek Ewangwani Maasai Village voor een ontspannen kennismaking met Maasai-tradities en het dagelijks leven. Onder leiding van lokale gidsen en gemeenschapsleden biedt deze ervaring betekenisvolle culturele interactie, een prachtig landschap en een langzamere, persoonlijkere manier om het noorden van Tanzania te verkennen. Je dag begint met het ophalen van Arusha, Moshi of nabijgelegen gebieden voordat je naar Materuni Village rijdt op de weelderige uitlopers van Mount Kilimanjaro. Geniet van een begeleide wandeling door bananenkwekerijen, koffieplantages en tropisch regenwoud die leidt naar de spectaculaire 80 meter Materuni Waterval. Onderweg deelt uw Gids inzichten in de Chagga-cultuur, het dorpsleven, lokale landbouwtradities en de omliggende natuur. Op heldere dagen is er ook een kans om te genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de Kilimanjaro. Na de wandeling keert u terug naar het dorp voor een interactieve Chagga-koffie-ervaring waar u leert hoe koffie wordt verbouwd, gebrand, gemalen en bereid met traditionele methoden. Gasten worden uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan het proces onder het genot van lokale liedjes, dansen en vers bereide biologische koffie uit het dorp. Er wordt een traditionele lokale lunch geserveerd voordat u verder gaat met uw culturele ervaring.
Na Materuni, verder naar Ewangani Maasai Village, is toegankelijker en biedt een lichte introductie tot de Maasai cultuur. De ervaring wordt georganiseerd door lokale Maasai-gemeenschapsleden en omvat traditionele huizen, dansen, kralenwerk, veeteeltcultuur, vuurtechnieken en verhalen over Maasai-tradities. De focus ligt op ontspannen culturele uitwisseling waar gasten natuurlijk kunnen leren en zich niet onder druk moeten voelen om souvenirs te kopen. Na het bezoek keert u comfortabel terug naar uw hotel of luchthaven. This was a great excursion and our guide Pemba was very knowledgeable!! The people of the Maasai village were so welcoming and we enjoyed being fully immersed into their culture. We learned so much from them! The hot springs were also enjoyable, but know that if you need goggles or a raft you will have to pay extra once there.
The tour was excellent, and my guide Mpemba was great too! The hike to the waterfall is beautiful; I was able to see chameleons and exotic fruits. We ate delicious native food and made our own coffee. The day was a bit cloudy, but in the end, we were able to see Kilimanjaro, and the guide made sure to take me to the best spot to see it well and take photos. I recommend it 100%!

8 days of safari at its finest, were just two with our driver and guide Samuel from Beach Safari. Every day a highlight, always in the morning! A clean car, despite great mud rides. After Arusha NP , Tarangire and Lake Manyara, we were in the midst of the remigration of felt millions of wildebeest. Samuel also knew where to find the lion families, the chitas and leopards. Highlights in the Ngogoro Crater 4 Rhinos and to top it off came 3 white or bright Rhinos, which even Samuel is astonished by, as it has not seen them for years. The Maasai's show was interesting and was mainly for financial support. Surprisingly the very good all-inclusive food, with emphasis on sustainability without disposable dishes. The accommodations , both hotel and tent were great. A total of 5 stars for the trip and another extra star for Samuel. Herwig & Brigitte

So we thought it will be a group of people taken to Masai village but it turns out it was only us 4. For the whole village to make a dancing show etc. Wonderful experience. Expect to buy some souvenirs from locals at the village, or make little donation.
