If you are staying in the Marsa Alam area and want to see the wonders of Luxor without the stress, I cannot recommend Marsa Alam Tours enough—specifically Rana Samy. We started our journey from Port Ghalib, and from the very beginning, everything was seamless. Rana was incredibly organized, professional, and made sure every detail of the trip was handled perfectly.

We visited Luxor and the Valley of the Kings - idyllic day with a passionate and exciting French speaking Egyptologist Guide ... Pretty hot but what a luxury to be able to visit the graves in the Valley of the Kings almost alone during all our visits - thanks to our exceptional guide and our two drivers who took us from El Quseir on a private trip ... super nice and always in time to catch up after each visit ... We visited the temples of Karnak - Luxor - Nile Tower - Valley of the Kings - Alabaster Factory ... etc.

Had a wonderful day with all the highlights of Luxor. Our dear guide Randa, told very enthusiastically and made us feel at ease and gave all the explanations we needed. However, communication with Marsa Alam Tours is difficult. There were several numbers contacting me all the time. I had asked for a Dutch speaking guide but suddenly I had to pay extra. A day before the booked excursion we were told that a Dutch speaking guide would not succeed anyway and that it would be an English speaking one. In terms of payments, it was also not clear. Different prices were charged than agreed. Tutankhamun's tomb was an extra charge of 40 euros for 3 people, but suddenly 150 people were asked what really couldn't be done, so you have the feeling that they're trying to rob you, a fixed price is a fixed price.

Naama is a wonderful guide. Her English is perfect and she is very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. I was travelling alone as a solo female traveller, and found her to be warm, helpful, reliable and friendly. Her communication the day before the tour was excellent - clear and concise with some great tips - and very much appreciated. She took some great photos for me, looked after my bag when I went into the tombs, thoughtfully found shade when she stopped to explain things and patiently answered all my questions. She took me to a very nice restaurant for lunch and we have a nice chat. I highly recommend her!

The location is undisputed and obviously beautiful. The practical organization of the trip was positive, right on time with competent and always available drivers, fresh and comfortable van. We need to review the choice of place for lunch, the food was very sad and of poor quality and we didn't even touch it, paying handsomely for two hot drinks! Our guide spoke Italian, but he had poor skills and was not very engaging, he neither satisfied nor fascinated us during the last part of the visit... he was waiting for us in the shade under the queen's temple! We were accompanied without being involved in what we were seeing. He seemed more interested in taking us to the shops; after the first visit to the perfume one, where we were left alone with useless and too long explanations (it was difficult to interrupt to leave), we decided to avoid them. We came back a little disappointed because it's very important to be involved in this experience, but that wasn't the case.

Good organisation. Very good guide in the exchange, attentive with a very good level of French. I hurt my ankle and the guide and driver adapted (went to the pharmacy...) Extraordinary sites visited which left us with very good memories. Salt flat visit to the banana island not recommended and very expensive (15 euros per person) to see the few animals present in cages!

My guide, Monsoor, was excellent. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend him highly. The sites were fantastic, the food was excellent, and the flights were great although we finished the tour around 1500 hrs. and there were no earlier flights than the one at 20:45 hours. My suggestion would be to perhaps encourage folks to stay the night at Luxor, rest in the afternoon, and go out for a good dinner at night with a flight out the following morning. My tip would be to negotiate all payments upfront. As an American I don't believe that my duty is to tip to make up for low pay nor provide "charity"; a tip is for exceptional service. I say this because I used Google to determine the tip. My Arabic is poor, but it was clear from the conversation in the car that the driver especially was not happy with his tip. Also, you need to be aware that there will be a driver; I thought just the guide so this means you will need to pay two tips. The other issue was the "add ons". They were fine for the most part, but I would suggest discussing all of the "add ons" up front, paying everything up front, and then you won't have to worry about it the rest of the trip; in short, amazing trip but the constant up selling got old.

Marsa Alam Tours is the best! They saved our vacation at the last moment. Thank you for the promptitude, dedication that helped us to have beautiful moments! We contacted the agency only one night before our trip to Luxor as a last effort to save our day. They responded immediately and helped us when we thought nothing else could be done and at a very good price for a private tour to Luxor! Our guide to Luxor - Mansor - is a walking encyclopedia of Ancient Egypt! You can see his passion and love for Egypt that was easily transmitted to us while explaining every little corner of Karnak Temple, Hatshepshut Temple and Valley of the Kings! We stayed 2 days on Luxor and overnight in a superb hotel near the Nile at 20 min walk from the temple of Luxor. On our arrival in the early afternoon Huda called us and offered to start the tour through the temple of Luxor at sunset. Huda is very considerate and speaks very good French. It explains the planned activities and possible additions to help you get a good idea of your day. The temple in the dusk light was dazzling, Huda makes her story very vivid. She has this ability to give you a lot of information and swathes of history without you having the impression of being in a conference and coming out groggy. The Sphinx alley is also impressive and if you want with the temple entrance ticket you can walk the 3km to Karnak. The next day we left at 8am for the Valley of the Kings. 3 tombs are included in your package and you can add 3 more. The frescoes are very well preserved and with all their colors. Then we were able to visit the reconstituted temple of Hatshipsuit, the only queen to have had her tomb in the Valley of the Kings. We ended with Karnak. I can only recommend this excursion and especially our guide Huda!

The tour wasAMAZING ! We took a day trip to Luxor and was taken around the most beautiful ancient sites. The cities were beautiful and words can’t describe our experience. Our tour guide Hoda was incredible and gave us the best tour with tons of information about each site! Hoda made sure we had the best experience possible !
