Tremezzina ligt aan de westelijke oever van het Comomeer, tegenover Bellagio, en is het resultaat van een recente fusie van de gemeenten Lenno, Mezzegra, Ossuccio en Tremezzo. Tremezzina bezoeken betekent de mogelijkheid hebben om te genieten van een plek die rijk is aan sfeer, geschiedenis en bezienswaardigheden. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat sommige scènes uit Star Wars hier zijn opgenomen? Tremezzina is de thuisbasis van twee van de mooiste villa's aan het Comomeer: Villa Balbianelllo, ingesteld voor grote internationale films en ook bruiloften, en Villa Carlotta, een museum en botanische tuin. Maar er zijn niet alleen villa's. Ontdek alle must-see plekken in de mooiste gehuchten van Tremezzo, Ossuccio en Lenno: er zijn prachtige stranden, historische kerken en wandelingen die u niet mag missen.
Bellagio is een klein juweel gelegen op het voorgebergte dat de twee zuidelijke takken van het Comomeer scheidt, die uitmonden in de steden Como en Lecco. Het is een van de meest glamoureuze en romantische bestemmingen in Lombardije. In feite is de bekende "Parel van het Comomeer" de thuisbasis van een kleurrijk historisch centrum, prachtige tuinen (parken van Villa Serbelloni en Villa Melzi), charmante buurten (zoals Pescallo of San Giovanni) en nog veel meer.

Een essentiële stop voor iedereen die een van de meest typische en vredige steden van het meer wil bezoeken. Dit kleine dorp, waar je nog de tradities van weleer kunt opsnuiven (vooral vissen), herbergt elegante villa's met botanische tuinen (zoals Villa Monastero en Villa Cipressi) en prachtige wandelingen tussen geschiedenis en natuur (Castello di Vezio en Sentiero del Viandante).
Pescallo is een klein rustig dorpje aan het Comomeer en ligt op minder dan 1,6 km van de grotere badplaats Bellagio. Nadat ik over deze plek had gelezen als een kleine vissersgemeenschap weg van het toeristengebied, was ik geïnteresseerd om het zelf te zien. Bij mijn eerste bezoek aan het Comomeer en Bellagio in 2011, begon ik te verkennen en ontdekte dat het maar een korte wandeling naar Pescallo was. De wandeling naar Pescallo mag dan kort zijn, zo eenvoudig is het niet. Voor iedereen die moeite heeft met het navigeren op trappen of ongelijke looppaden, is deze trek zeker niets voor jou. Hoewel Bellagio aan de waterkant ligt, is de stad op een heuvel gebouwd.
We gaan deze prachtige villa aan het water bekijken. Een aantal speelfilms heeft de villa gebruikt voor opnamen op locatie, waaronder A Month by the Lake (1995), His Demise met in de hoofdrol Paul Zukowski (rampenfilm uit 2016), Casino Royale (2006). De villa werd ook gebruikt voor de retraite-scènes aan het meer in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002), waarbij door de computer gegenereerde beelden werden gebruikt in plaats van de ware buitenkant van het gebouw.

Mateu did an excellent job of showing me the towns and villas, including waterfalls. He explained the histories and current uses of the estates and gardens. Boats2Go was kind enough to provide the non-alcoholic version of Sauvignon Blanc and water.

Today we enjoyed the MOST fabulous 3 hour private wooden boat tour with our wonderful tour guide Fabio. We are a family of 7 (myself and my husband along with our 4 adult children (20’s & 30) and 10 month grandson). This boat trip was a delight for every member of our family - Fabio was incredibly knowledgeable on the history of the lake towns and its numerous & magnificent villas. Today’s beautiful trip around the lake will be a memory we talk about for years to come. We can’t thank Fabio enough for how considerate he was accommodating us with a stop for the baby.
