De Blauwe Grot op het eiland Koločep (bij Dubrovnik, Kroatië) is een kleine maar prachtige zeegrot die bekend staat om zijn gloeiende blauwe water veroorzaakt door zonlicht dat weerkaatst wordt op de zanderige zeebodem via een onderwateringang. De hoofdactiviteit! Het water gloeit etherisch blauw, vooral rond het middaguur als de zon hoog staat. Zwemmen of snorkelen in de grot om te verkennen. Net buiten de grot zijn er veilige plekken voor klifspringen van lage tot matige hoogte – populair bij avonturiers.
Vaar naar een wereld vol verborgen wonderen terwijl je Koločep, het zuidelijkste Elaphiti-eiland, per boot verkent. Op slechts een korte cruise van Dubrovnik onthult Koločep's ruige kustlijn kristalheldere baaien, dramatische kliffen en mystieke zeegrotten, waaronder de beroemde Blauwe Grot van het eiland - een gloeiende saffiergrot die alleen over zee bereikbaar is. Terwijl uw boot langs met pijnbomen begroeide kusten en rustige baaien glijdt, kunt u stoppen om te zwemmen in afgelegen lagunes, snorkelen over levendige riffen of gewoon in alle rust drijven met de zon op uw gezicht. Zonder auto's op het eiland en beperkte drukte is het gevoel van ontsnapping echt - pure Kroatische eilandmagie, het beste te ervaren vanaf het water.
Een van de grootste en meest populaire zandstranden in de omgeving van Dubrovnik is Sunj Beach op het eiland Lopud, een korte boottocht van de haven van Dubrovnik. Dit zandstrand met ondiep water is ideaal voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen, jongeren of zelfs sportliefhebbers. Op het strand is een bar waar hapjes en drankjes worden geserveerd en je kunt de hele dag op het strand doorbrengen.
Lopud is een van de Kroatische eilanden die behoren tot de Elafiti-archipel, een groep eilanden net voor de kust van Dubrovnik die vaak de eilanden van Dubrovnik worden genoemd. Gelegen op iets meer dan 7 zeemijl van Dubrovnik (ongeveer 14 kilometer), heeft het eiland slechts een paar honderd permanente inwoners. Een heel mooie historische plek met een botanische tuin. Hier kunnen onze gasten lunchen in een van de restaurants.
Šipan is het grootste eiland in de Elaphite-groep en speelt een belangrijke rol in nautische routes. Hier zullen we de plaats Suđurađ bezoeken.
Sjekirica Beach onderscheidt zich door het schone water en de goed bewaarde omgeving, waardoor het een favoriete plek is om te zwemmen en snorkelen onder de lokale bevolking en toeristen. De combinatie van kiezelstrand en rotsachtige zeebodem zorgt voor een rijk onderwaterleven, perfect voor onderwaterverkenning. De helderblauwe zee met ondiepe en rijke zeevegetatie maakt het een perfecte plek om te zwemmen en snorkelen.

We had a great day with Ivan as our skipper. He was so nice and showed us all the lovely places around the islands and even some hidden gems. We loved swimming into the caves and relaxing on the water. Highly recommend for a great private day!

I highly recommend this private boat excursion—it’s well worth the cost. There were six of us on board the Merry Fisher, along with our kind and accommodating Captain Ivan. We had been very happy to find a boat departing from Cavtat (we had only seen Dubrovnik departures in the past). Our first stop was the island of Koločep where we all jumped from the boat right into the sea, swimming and exploring for over an hour. Then on to an incredible harbor-side grilled fish lunch, which Captain Ivan reserved for us upon our departure. After lunch we swam in the blue caves area (open sea), and by this time, my nine and thirteen-year-old granddaughters had become completely confident swimming in this buoyant deep blue sea—knowing they could climb the ladder back up to the boat at any time. The experience for them was both joyful and an incredible boost to their self-confidence. This was the best gift of all. The boat was lovely, clean, and well-stocked with snorkeling equipment, drinks, snacks and towels. There was plenty of shade on the boat for us older folks, but we all swam. We had a wonderful family bonding day, and will do it again in the future. The best gift ever for your grandchildren!!

Excellent day on the water. Beautiful boat the perfect size for 4 with full cover and room on the bow, crew was friendly and helpful. They recommended an excellent hotel restaurant on the third island which had a great view and food, private beach and we could use the pool. Snorkeling was a lot of fun, highly recommend.

The weather was in our side. The captain was great and friendly, knowledgeable of the area. The boat was clean. The captain was early and let us know he would be which allowed for a little extra time.

Excellent! Ivan was an excellent and very safe captain! We were all a little jet lagged, and super chill & Ivan was a great tour guide!! Loved seeing the island he was from and he gave us an excellent recommendation for lunch! Never felt hurried or rushed! Highly recommend! Loved swimming in the water and seeing the blue holes! We had an amazing time!

We had the perfect day! Ivan was our guide, and he took us to his favorite spots. We visited his home island, and also went to a lovely restaurant for lunch to break up the day. Everything about this outing was perfect and truly something my family will remember the rest of their lives.

Ivan our boat host made a very memorable trip. Extremely professional and friendly, with a good knowledge of the islands. We visited the Kolocep, and Sipan islands and stopped for lunch at Bowa, which I must say is a must. Recommend the boat tour highly.

This could have been a mess but turned into one of our favorite days. We had a reservation that was somehow not seen by the boat owner. He was very apologetic and was able to find another boat owner to fulfill the reservation. The boat and crew were great. They brought us to a few of their favorite locations. The weather and sights were beautiful! We ended at the Old City. We were told this was normally an up charge but the owner covered it as part of his apology. Mistakes happen and luckily crisis averted. Overall a great day!
