We nemen je mee door de meest iconische historische plaatsen en je krijgt de gelegenheid om enkele van de beroemde maaltijden te proeven. Wij zorgen ervoor dat u zich een echte Mexicaan voelt! Je krijgt de gelegenheid om de meest emblematische plekken te bezoeken, zoals het historische centrum van de stad, het Palacio de Bellas Artes, en een wandeling rond de magische Avenue 5 de Mayo. Je krijgt ook een gastronomische smaak en bezoekt de voedselmarkt van San Juan en de ambachtelijke markt La Ciudadela. De tour begint in het historische centrum van Mexico-Stad. Hier krijgt u de gelegenheid om de beroemdste gebouwen te zien, kennis te maken met de oude architectuur en door de magische straten te slenteren.
We zullen de bekende Zócalo, het belangrijkste plein van de stad, en zijn prachtige straten zien. Het staat ook bekend als Plaza de la Constitución, ter ere van de grondwet van Cadiz van 1812. Hier vinden concerten, het dagelijkse leven en culturele evenementen plaats.
Blijf het historische centrum van de stad bezoeken en mis dit geweldige architecturale ensemble niet. Ter ere van de Heilige Maagd Maria van de Hemel, is geïnspireerd op de stijl van de Spaanse kathedralen. Het staat ook op de Werelderfgoedlijst.
Dit imposante barokke gebouw wordt gebruikt als het hoofdkwartier van de federale uitvoerende macht en de officiële residentie van de president. Leer meer over de grote geschiedenis, hervormingen en bijna vernietiging, totdat het het gebouw werd dat het nu is.
Wandel door deze belangrijke laan ter ere van de strijd van de Mexicanen tegen de Fransen. Laat u bewonderen door zijn geweldige voorbeelden van XIX- en XX-eeuwse architectuur.
Hier krijgen we de gelegenheid om een van de architecturale juwelen van de stad te zien, het Casa de Los Azulejos, een wonder van de barok van Nieuw-Spanje. Een paleis met prachtige interieurs en fresco's geschilderd door Mexicaanse kunstenaars in het interieur.

Onze laatste stop staat bekend om zijn handwerk gemaakt en genezen door Mexicaanse ambachtslieden, en de plek om de meest geliefde souvenirs op te halen. Je leert over de oorsprong en geschiedenis ervan en hebt de mogelijkheid om enkele van de meer dan 350 kraampjes te bezoeken!

Alex, our guide was great. He shot us all over the city and explained everything to us. I love the part about history. He took us too many places to eat and even though some of us weren’t feeling well he made sure that we got food that we could eat and went to places where we could see the view. It was a lovely day.

We had done a historic walking tour of the day before. Our guide on this food tour made no references to many of the sites. For example he did give a tip to the organ grinder but not let us know why the organ grinders were there. We did let the operator know beforehand that we did not eat meat. The first stop we had potato and bean tacos. The second stop was only meat tacos and we were not offered any substitutes. However we spoke to the waiter and he showed us a number of substitute meals that were suitable for vegetarians. Our tour guide said they were not tacos and did not offer them to us. He took the meals that we did not eat as take out. Our third stop was an exotic meat and insect place in the market. After all of that we were offered cheese This is an overpriced tour is not value for money. And we did not really learn anything from our guide.
Dear Richard, A large part of the experience of this tour specifically is eating exotic dishes and meat. We definitely could have offered you only vegetarian options, for which we apologize, but it's part of the cuisine of the place you chose to visit. My tour guide Antonio was very knowledgeable of the city, he gave me a tour all around the city and to locations I wanted to visit, we toured historical parts of the city and we had lunch at nice taco place. Ray
Bernardo was a great guide & I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. He was very patient in explaining everything & let us take our time to experience the food & the city without rushing us. It was a small group which was nice & Bernardo had to do double duty by guiding in both English & Spanish which he did very capably ... was fun & like a walking Spanish lesson too! The tacos were delicious & the insects 'interesting'! Exotic animals weren't mentioned in the description & I did NOT want to eat lion or tiger, farmed or otherwise! All in all a great tour, many thanks!

Knowing about the buildings of religious, governmental, and artistic natures. Going in and out of a few places and tasting the food. Being informed that the President of Mexico is living in that main building in the square where only foot traffic and markets are to be near his people! That meant a lot to him to me. I AM very pleased with how the tour guide informed me of so many things! He was professional yet down to earth where everybody enjoyed everything about the tour! Thank you! Ms JJ

We did not think that the tour guide was great. She was on her phone a lot. It was noisy on the street. The two taco places that we went were not great. We did not enjoy the final market place. The different foods were not our style at all

Unable to find that start of this tour so missed out on the experience. We used Uber to make our attempt to get to the tour and found out how big and confusing the old town is. We asked for a refund but were denied by the local tour compamy, Amigo Tours. We’ve appealed our request for reimbursement and hope to receive positive news. It sounded like a fun tour.
