Ga mee met deze zeer kleine groepstour (gemiddelde groepsgrootte van ongeveer 12 passagiers) voor een klassieke eendaagse tour naar Loch Ness. Reizend door een spectaculair landschap van de Hooglanden, is deze tour de perfecte manier om veel van Schotland te zien en op zoek te gaan naar het beroemde monster van Loch Ness. Hoogtepunten zijn onder andere de prachtige Glen Coe en een optionele boottocht op Loch Ness, 's werelds meest mysterieuze stuk water. Dit twaalf uur durende avontuur vertegenwoordigt veel waar voor je geld.

Vang een glimp op van Linlithgow Palace - de geboorteplek van Mary Queen of Scots.

Geniet 's ochtends van een stop met een kopje koffie in het eerste nationale park van Schotland. De mogelijkheden zijn hier onder andere het dorp Callander, dat aan de poort van de Hooglanden ligt, of het uitzicht op de bergen bij het prachtige Loch Lubnaig.
Het beruchte bloedbad van de Clan MacDonald vond op 13 februari 1692 plaats te midden van dit prachtige en dramatische landschap. Wellicht herkent u dit deel van de Schotse Hooglanden dat is gebruikt in de film 'Skyfall' en 'Harry Potter en de Gevangene van Azkaban'. Een majestueuze omgeving in elk seizoen!
Reis door de wildernis van Rannoch Moor met prachtig uitzicht op de omringende bergen.
Bekijk Ben Nevis (hoogste berg van Groot-Brittannië op 1344 m) vanaf de beroemde Commando Memorial. Hier kunt u het spectaculaire uitzicht bewonderen over het ruige landschap van Lochaber.

Reis langs het Caledonian Canal,. Ontworpen door Thomas Telford.
Stop bij Fort Augustus voor lunch en om het grootste loch in Schotland te verkennen, vanaf de over of op een optionele boottocht (op eigen kosten).
Als u het Cairngorms National Park binnenkomt, is er misschien tijd voor een korte boswandeling met een praatje.
Onze laatste stop ligt in het hart van de Highlands (Big Tree Country in Highland Perthshire), waar u kunt genieten van een vroege avondwandeling door een van de pittoreske dorpjes of een snelle verfrissing voor de laatste reis naar huis.
Keer terug naar Edinburgh met een oversteek over de rivier de Forth.

Everything was perfect! Euan was a fantastic guide. We had a small group, 6 from 1 family and 1 other woman. The weather was not typical. Low to mid 70s and not a drop of rain, so we were able to do some things that they normally wouldn’t do! Highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Euan!!!

Calum McGhie was our tour guide. He is a Scottish man who knows the history of Scotland incredibly well, and knows a great deal about each of the areas that we visited during our days spent with him. Rorry did an absolutely fantastic job showing us around the Scottish Highlands! We learned so much and saw so many great places. There were plenty of rest stops for our seven-year-old, and we had a great time visiting Loch Ness - though Nessy didn't visit the day we were there. 😆

A truly rich and complete route: the highland landscapes do not lose their charm even in bad weather and Keith knows many interesting anecdotes about English and Scottish history, which made me enjoy both the valleys and the historical fortresses that can be admired along the trip with more awareness. During one of the short stops on the way back, I was even able to feed a Scottish cow at the Bankfoot Visitor Centre in Perth. Keith is precise in time management but at the same time relaxed and not pushy. I feel like I saw all of Scotland in one day:)

Roddy was a fantastic tour guide for our trip to Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands. He gave us background on the geology and history of Scotland that was interesting and relevant for our tour and made us feel like insiders. We stopped in various towns along the way for bathroom and snack breaks, which was helpful and convenient. He was able to answer all of our questions and made our day an all-around fantastic experience. Although we did not see Nessie, we highly recommend this tour!
