Met onze gids breng je je dag door op een fiets om het prachtige platteland rond Battambang te verkennen. Weven langs de rivierweg tijdens een bezoek aan Cambodjaanse families die traditionele producten produceren (zoals rijstpapier en bamboekleefrijst), gemaakt op dezelfde manier als ze al generaties lang zijn. Je leert uit de eerste hand over het dagelijks leven in Cambodja van de gezinnen die je bezoekt en van onze geweldige lokale gidsen. Hoogtepunten: ontmoet families die traditionele producten maken zoals rijstpapier, gedroogde banaan, bamboekleefrijst, vispasta en rijstwijn. Geniet van seizoensfruit en kokoswater. Sluit af met een bezoek aan een gedenkplaats voor de slachtoffers van de Rode Khmer. Een deel van je tourkosten gaat terug naar de lokale gemeenschap en je gids is een lokale student die via Soksabike een beroepsopleiding krijgt.

Met onze lokale studentengids breng je je dag door met het verkennen van het prachtige landschap rond Battambang op de fiets. Bezoek Cambodjaanse families die traditionele producten produceren (zoals rijstpapier, gedroogde bananen en plakkerige bamboerijst) die op dezelfde manier zijn gemaakt als generaties lang. Je leert uit de eerste hand over het dagelijks leven in plattelandsgemeenschappen die meer dan 70% van de bevolking van Cambodja uitmaken. De rit is ongeveer 22 km. Het vertrekt om 7.30 uur en keert terug rond 12.00 uur. De rit is geschikt voor alle fitnessniveaus.

Fantastic tour. Our guide was really amazing. He told us all about the local businesses and the processes they used to make their products. It was a wonderful way to see Battambang. Some of our group were not confident cyclists but the team were very helpful and made us feel very safe even in the traffic! No hard sell or pressure. I highly recommend this trip
We made a fantastic bike tour with our guide Sopheak who explained us manu interesting things about Cambodia and khmer people. The tour was very interesting and we met many local real families who showed us their job and thei homes. Absolutely recommended!!
Excellent tour. Paul ran through the operation of the gears & brakes & demonstrated the hand signals they use for stopping etc. Great way to see parts of Battambang that most tourists wouldn’t get to, lovely meeting different families & seeing how they make their food/drink etc for their livelihood. All the bikes were in great condition, felt totally safe at all times.

It was an amazing experience! The bike and helmet are very good quality and the tour was very interesting! My guide Paul was very friendly and kind. He has a lot of knowledge and you can tell he loves to explain and tell stories. I would definitely recommend this tour !

Our leader was Hor Visal. He was the perfect guide with the most infectious smile and his command of english was first class. The bikes and equipment were well maintained. We were given water bottles. Hor explained that Soksabike supports local communities and each of our visits into the locals home were financially rewarded topped up by a tip from us. The delight on their faces is memorable. We were given clear safety instructions, Hor Visal ensured that we knew what each of his hand signals were as we crossed some busy main roads however, this wasn't a problem. There were plenty of visits/stops and a chance to chat to the local villagers and sample the local produce including rice, fruit, vegetables and rice wine. The tour was really excellent. A thoroughly memorable and enjoyable morning. We wish Hor well as he studies for his BA and dream to become a tour guide and which we know he will be a first class guide. A really engaging tour that takes you to places we would not otherwise have been meeting with local families and sharing their techniques in making and growing rice paper/dried bananas/fruit/rice wine/ sticky rice. Being on the bike was a good and safe way to get off the beaten track. Really engaging guide who took god care of us
