Bezoek twee van de topattracties van Slovenië in één middag tijdens deze tour van een halve dag vanuit Ljubljana. Begin bij het kasteel Predjama, gelegen op een klif hoog boven de prachtige Binnen-Carniola regio. Verken de kamers en trappenhuizen en kom alles te weten over de beroemdste inwoner van het kasteel, Erazem van Predjama. Ga dan verder naar Postojna Cave. Rijd met een minitreintje diep de beroemde grot in en maak een tour door het etherische netwerk van stalactieten, stalagmieten en grotten met een lokale Gids. Het is het hele jaar door een interessant en romantisch gezicht : in het voorjaar en de zomer is de omgeving rijk aan bloesems en bloemen, in de herfst is het bedekt met de kleuren van de omliggende bossen en het is op zijn mooist in de winter wanneer de omgeving bedekt is met sneeuw.

Prompt arrival, smooth intros, delicious deep voice. Safe driving in air con comfort. Clear communication and flexible with arrangements. The advice and steps to complete beforehand were accurate and basic. Take cash for the pletna (row boat) bring a jumper for the caves, bring a sandwich for lunch. The weather, the views, the guide, the chat and the added adjustment to do summer toboggan was fabulous. Jan works hard, but knows what's what and shares it with a smile.
Thank you for packing so many useful tips into one review, future guests will be grateful. The toboggan add-on is a good example of how our set route still flexes to what the group wants on the day, glad it all came together so smoothly.
While this is essentially paying for a ride to the caves and castle, it is still worth booking (the tickets for the actual caves and castle are NOT included, and the driver/guide does NOT come with you into the caves or castle). The van was very comfortable and our driver was knowledgeable (gave us information during the drive and outside of the castle), helpful, and well-organized. Again, the caves are so incredible I still think this is worth booking if you want to travel comfortably.

For anyone weighing the cost: what's always included is the guided day itself, a licensed local guide-driver, and the comfortable van, a small group of up to 8 rather than a big coach. Groups are often smaller too, and we run the day even for two guests rather than cancel. The cave and castle admissions are kept separate and optional, so you only pay for the stops you choose, with prices shared upfront. One thing worth knowing: inside Postojna Cave only the cave's own specialised guides are allowed to lead, so ours shares the background on the drive and waits outside, ready with more once you're out. That also keeps an extra entry ticket off your bill. Thanks for laying it out so clearly; that honest detail helps the next traveller decide.
Prompt pickup. Friendly, organised and informative guide. The caves are particularly touristy but are well organised and therefore still worthwhile. some more elderly tourists struggled a little with the walk at the caves and the steps at the castle. We found the castle, particularly interesting but at peak season, I would imagine it is chaotically busy.

We were excited to see Predjama Castle and the Postonja Cafes but we didn’t want to take up our entire day doing so. This was perfect. 8:20 pick up and 2pm drop off. Jan was an excellent guide and made everything seamless.

It is a very interesting cave, the largest in Europe. Part of the visit is carried out with a train, followed by a pleasant walk. Beautiful rooms, the magnificence of nature. In the surroundings you can make a pleasant stop to eat.
Great half day adventure with an astonishing cave and an equally impressive castle IN a cave. Nina both drove and lead the group with aplomb. It's a great way to get out of the city and see some things (for me at least) not easily seen at home.
A fantastic day at the Postojna caves and Prediama Castle. The minibus was very comfortable and our guide, Thea, was extremely professional, knowledgeable and a lovely person. The tour was great value and a great use of our precious time in Slovenia. I would recommend this tour to all.
