Wanneer uw cruiseschip in Livorno aankomt en u heeft slechts een enkele dag om de omliggende Italiaanse steden Siena en San Gimignano te bezoeken, heeft u een privé begeleide kustexcursie nodig om de beste van deze pittoreske steden te zien. Tijdens deze negen uur durende dagtour dompelt u onder in het Italiaanse leven, ontdekt u de prachtige stad Siena en wandelt u door de middeleeuwse straten van San Gimignano voordat u terugkeert naar uw cruiseschip in Livorno. Uw privéchauffeur haalt u op bij uw schip in de haven van Livorno en neemt u mee op een schilderachtige rit van twee uur door het Toscaanse platteland. Je zult Siena bereiken, waar de schoonheid en het karakter van deze slaperige stad je zullen verbazen en je het gevoel geven dat je terug bent gegaan in de tijd.

Verlaat de haven van Livorno en bewonder tijdens de 2 uur durende rit naar Siena het beroemde Toscaanse landschap (glooiende heuvels, enorme wijngaarden, olijfbomen, enz.). Uw privéchauffeur geeft u een inleiding over uw dag en u bepaalt het exacte schema op basis van uw persoonlijke behoeften.
Bezoek Siena, een van de mooiste stad van Toscane, vol smalle straatjes, middeleeuwse torens en prachtige pleinen; bewonder het beroemde Piazza del Campo, dat twee keer per jaar wordt gebruikt voor de beroemde "Palio" paardenrace, de belangrijkste gebeurtenis in het leven van het Senese volk; bekijk de belangrijkste gotische kathedraal ten zuiden van de Alpen, en neem een kijkje in de plaatselijke winkels.
Op weg naar San Gimignano (ongeveer 45 minuten), zal uw chauffeur, indien nodig, de beste optie voorstellen om een echte verse en echte Toscaanse maaltijd te proeven in combinatie met de beroemde rode Chianti-wijnen, of, als u dat wilt, iets sneller onderweg. Eenmaal in San Gimignano kunt u de prachtige skyline bewonderen die bestaat uit 13 middeleeuwse torens, de "Duomo" of de Collegiata-kerk, het "Palazzo Nuovo del Podestà", dat nu het stadhuis is, en het beruchte martelmuseum bekijken. Winkelliefhebbers kunnen een wandeling maken door de talrijke speciaalzaken in en uit te gaan (keramiek, lederwaren, linnengoed en lokale producten, waaronder de witte wijn "Vernaccia" uit San Gimignano.

If you are looking for a way to see the most beautiful parts of Tuscany from a cruise, this is the perfect tour for you. We were picked up right at the ship by Mario, in a beautiful Mercedes. Mario was one of the kindest people we have met while traveling. He grew up in Florence and knows the Tuscany area inside and out! He gave us such wonderful information about the area, and about himself growing up there. We loved hearing all of his knowledge of how things have changed over the years. We visited Sienna, and because it was private, we chose how long we wanted to stay. We stopped at a small, family run winery for lunch and wine tasting. It was absolutely delightful. Our next stop was San Girognano. What an amazing little town. Again, Mario told us to spend as much time as we needed. He was such a wonderful guide. He then drove us back to our ship, and we visited and chatted the entire way. All in all is was one of our favorite days on our cruise, mostly because Mario made it perfect for us!

Mario was punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable about his area, Tuscany. He helped get the most out of a day trip and his car was clean, well presented and driven in a relaxed manner.
