Dompel jezelf onder in de jaren zestig en neem plaats in mijn opgeknapte Volkswagen T2-bus uit 1970 voor een unieke ervaring. Zowel stijlvol als "baba cool", het brengt originaliteit en plezier in je vakantie. Ik laat je de omgeving van Lissabon ontdekken, prachtige, authentieke en nog steeds bewaard gebleven plaatsen die moeilijk toegankelijk zijn als je niet wordt vervoerd. Of je nu een fan bent van klassieke auto's, nostalgisch naar de jaren 60 en 70 of gewoon nieuwsgierig bent om deze mythische bestelwagen te ontdekken, ik verzeker je een moment van gezelligheid en geweldige ontdekkingen. Er zijn routes gepland voor de dag om langs de kusten van Cascais of Sintra te wandelen. Andere routes brengen u naar de Serra d'Arrabida of zelfs naar Setubal. Met vrienden of familie tot 5 personen (privé) Maak het je gemakkelijk in mijn VW combi en laat je rijden om volop te genieten van deze heerlijke bestemming.

2 uur vrije tijd gepland in Cascais. Het was een voormalig vissersdorp en werd door de Portugese adel omgevormd tot een zomerresort met zijn weelderige villa's en extravagante plaatsen. Cascais is een heel charmant stadje waar je kunt genieten van mooie stranden, parken en levendige straatjes.
La Casa da Guia is momenteel een referentie in de gemeente Cascais en is een echt ontmoetingspunt geworden met familie of vrienden, dankzij een uniek en ander concept van handel, cultuur en vrije tijd. Bij de uitgang van Cascais, op de weg naar Guincho, is Casa da Guia gevestigd in een 19e-eeuws herenhuis, volledig gerenoveerd door de architect Cláudio Wanderley, omgeven door twee hectare aan tuinen op de klif, die zich uitstrekt tot aan de vuurtoren van Guia en domineert de uitgestrektheid van de Atlantische Oceaan. Binnen ontdekken we een innovatief commercieel concept met diverse winkels en een kunstgalerie. Buiten is er een uitstekend gebied voor restaurants, handel, cultuur en vrije tijd, waar restaurants, terrassen en een amfitheater perfecte uitkijkpunten zijn om van een prachtig uitzicht op de zee te genieten.
Cabo da Roca is een wilde kaap die op het meest westelijke punt van continentaal Europa ligt. Deze plaats, bestaande uit kliffen die door de wind zijn gehamerd en dor land, werd ooit (tot de 14e eeuw) beschouwd als het einde van de wereld. Het is de ideale plek voor mensen die van de natuur houden, met aan de ene kant het uitgestrekte water dat oneindig lijkt en aan de andere kant de bergen van het natuurpark Sintra-Cascais.
Deze "mond van de hel" is een kloof die bezoekers sinds de vroegste tijden heeft verbaasd en bang gemaakt. De oceaan heeft, door vaak gewelddadig komen en gaan, de rots uitgegraven en een "kaak van steen" gevormd waarin een helse soep borrelt.
Prachtig strand in het spectaculaire landschap van de heuvels van Serra de Sintra. Altijd blootgesteld aan harde wind, staat het bekend om zijn enorme golven, zowel in de zomer als in de winter. Het is dan ook een paradijs voor ervaren surfers. Aan de zuidkant van het strand ligt het geel geverfde fort van Fortaleza do Guincho, dat is omgetoverd tot een 5* hotel met een buitenzwembad gebouwd rond een oud fort.

Awesome day traveling the coast just outside Lisbon. Loved touring in the VW van. Antonio did a great job taking us to the sights & giving us plenty of time at each stop.

This was the best part of our trip to Portugal. This day didn’t feel like you were on a tour. It was more like riding around with family and friends, singing great music and catching all the cool sights along the way. Also, we had the best meal of our entire trip for lunch at Azenhas do Mar. What a wonderful experience we had with this tour and although we did not get a chance to visit Sintra and the other Castles because of unforeseen circumstances, we did get a chance to go other sites that we would otherwise not have been able to. My hats off to Christiano for this unforgettable trip to the coastline and the city of Cascais, he took his time to explain in detail all the places we visited. He also recommended local restaurants for us while in Lisbon and his wife Laura kept in touch with me even before we got here to make sure everything was fine. Fun day with lovely and knowledgeable guide and driver. The VW bus is super cool! When we moved quickly through regular stops being fast-paced New Yorkers they offered to add another location to visit.

Cristiano was an amazing guide for the day! He was on time, very polite and a friend to talk with and ask questions all day. He provided the schedule for the day and asked if we wanted any modifications. This is the perfect tour to visit the coastal towns and sites near Lisbon. At each stop he provided us with history about the stop and allowed time to explore, take pictures and enjoy each experience. Our lunch stop came with an amazing ocean view and the food was outstanding (order the grilled octopus). Make sure you ask him about the history of the van as it has a very fascinating story. He loves what he is doing, is very knowledgeable about Portugal and you will not be disappointed in your experience. We highly recommend this tour as we feel like we have a new friend in Portugal.

Everything was perfect from the pick up to the drop off. Laura and Christian were AMAZING. Super knowledgable, friendly and we enjoyed their fabulous VW van. We were picked up on time at the hotel in this fully restored bus and drove comfortably along small roads to Sintra. Our two supervisors told us a lot about the city and Sintra. From Sintra we went to the coast to a fantastic fish restaurant with a great view. Then along the coast to the westernmost point of Europe, then to a hellish gorge and finally back to Lisbon via the coastal road. The trip in the old bus is great fun, people often speak to you and wave at you. We can only recommend the trip!
