Ons avontuur begint op het Restauradores-plein in Lissabon. We passeren het Rossio Station dat de stad verbindt met de regio Sintra.
De oudste kerk van de stad. Dit is een van de meest bezochte plaatsen in Lissabon. Hier hebben we tijd om wat foto's te maken en meer te weten te komen over de geschiedenis van de plaats.
Het mooiste uitzichtpunt van Lissabon. Vanaf hier kunt u de hele wijk Alfama zien en kunt u de schoonheid van de stad waarderen. Op deze plek heb je de beste foto's van Lissabon.
Dit is een van de hoogste plekken in de stad. Je zult Lissabon vanuit het meest complete perspectief van de stad kunnen zien. De zuidmuur van Santa Luzia heeft twee moderne tegelpanelen, één van het Praça do Comércio van vóór de aardbeving en de andere met de christenen die het kasteel van São Jorge aanvallen.
We zullen de Spaanse erfenis in Lissabon passeren. We bezoeken de prachtige kerk en het klooster van San Vicente de Fora.
We maken kennis met de gevel van deze prachtige plek in een van de uithoeken van de stad. Je zult de schoonheid van de 15e-eeuwse architectuur kunnen zien en meer te weten komen over de geschiedenis van deze plek.
Dit is een van de oudste wijken van Lissabon, waar de traditionele muziek van Portugal, Fado, wordt geboren en onderhouden. Je kunt de oude huizen bezoeken die de verschrikkelijke aardbeving van 1755 hebben overleefd. Dit is een van de populaire plekken in Lissabon, waar in de maand juni het feest van Santo Antonio wordt gevierd.
Dit is het belangrijkste plein van Lissabon en een van de langste van Europa. Het werd herbouwd na de aardbeving van 1755.
We passeren een van de bruggen die deze stad heeft. Op de brug zijn verschillende films opgenomen, waaronder enkele scènes uit de James Bond-film On Her Majesty's Secret Service uit 1969.
We passeren een van de mooiste monumenten van Lissabon met veel geschiedenis. Dit is waar de graven van Vasco da Gama, koning Manuel I en Johannes III zich bevinden. In 1983 werd het Jerónimos-klooster geclassificeerd als UNESCO-werelderfgoed.
Binnen de 7 wonderen van Portugal hebben we de Belemtoren. De Toren van Belém is een 16e-eeuws fort in Lissabon. Sinds 1983 staat de toren op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO.
We bezoeken het monument van het tijdperk van ontdekking door de Portugezen en hun routes richting Afrika, Azië en Zuid-Amerika. We zullen ook de gigantische kaart zien die door Zuid-Afrika is geschonken.

The driver would have been helped if he had a microphone or something where we could hear a little better. The tuk tuk was very uncomfortable and bumpy on the cobblestone roads. We were hoping to have more of a private experience where we could’ve seen places we wanted to go, but that wasn’t the case…it’s a pretty set plan of what you are going to see.

Probably the best guy you could get in the Tuk Tuk business is DIEGO FERNANDES. Friendly and cheerful, but also elegant and well raised- so very classy and considerate. He is very safe! Our vehicle wouldn't start outside the Santa Apolonia train station, and he was as efficient as a flight attendant getting us out of the way of traffic. He hand psuhed the tuk tuk out of the road (not very far) to a secure parking space and somehow corrected the problem in no time. We were three seniors 67, 82, 83 and he treated us with deference and respect - bathroom breaks planned, every courtesy for ease of movement, such as running into the bakery to get our pastel de natas even with his own money if it was not convenient for us to get ours out. When one of ours wanted to stop for take away Caldo Verde soup he knew the place and went in to support her. Diego tuned into our interests and was very flexible if we wanted to skip or remain a bit more. It was truly tailored for us. He's very young and modern looking, someone who is invited to do music videos as a background person. Looks like a model. Highly recommend Diego - top rating.

Diego was amzaing and so friendly! When we got hungry he made sure to fit in a break and suggested a great cafe and then for a late lunch he took us to a sandwich/bagette place. The food was top notch! Full of information and answered all our questions (we were a questiony bunch). When i come back to Lisbon I will be calling Diego again.
