Uw avontuur begint met een pick-up van de haven met een vriendelijke, gecertificeerde Engelssprekende gids en met een professionele chauffeur. Deze reis belooft een onvergetelijke verkenning van de rijke geschiedenis van Cyprus en adembenemende bezienswaardigheden, perfect voor wie op zoek is naar een elegante en meeslepende reiservaring.
Fasouri Citrus Plantages (voorbij). De plantage ligt aan de westkant van Limassol en beslaat een totale oppervlakte van 1408 hectare.
Een korte fotostop buiten bij dit historische middeleeuwse kasteel. Gebouwd door de kruisvaarders in de 13e eeuw, dit goed bewaard gebleven gebouw staat drie verdiepingen hoog en het is een goed voorbeeld van militaire architectuur uit die periode.
De archeologische overblijfselen van Kourion zijn veruit de belangrijkste en meest indrukwekkende historische ontdekkingen van het eiland. Als een van Cyprus' meest prominente stad-koninkrijken van de oudheid, werd Kourion gebouwd op een heuvel die uitkijkt over de zuidelijke kust en de ruïnes dateren uit de Romeinse en vroeg-Byzantijnse periode. Het is een must see voor iedereen op het eiland en de overblijfselen van de oude stad Kourion zijn misschien wel de bekendste en meest gefotografeerde in Cyprus. Probeer de muntproef van het refrein en je zult versteld staan! Laat een vriend helemaal bovenin het aphitheatre zitten en een andere laat een muntje vallen bij het podium. De akoestiek in het Kourion is zo opmerkelijk dat je het geluid van de munt hoort vallen!
Het is een van de grootste dorpen van Krasochoria (wijndorpen). Gebouwd op de helling van de berg, tussen een groen tapijt van wijnstokken, omringd door bergen die lijken alsof ze in een meesterlijke lay-out zijn geplaatst, is een van de meest pittoreske dorpen van Cyprus. Het grote plein van het dorp, uniek in zijn grafische kwaliteit en grootte, voor het majestueuze klooster van het Heilig Kruis (verbonden met St. Helen's Passage naar Cyprus), de middeleeuwse Wijnpers, de smalle steegjes, en de stenen huizen allemaal "verdronken" in het groen geven een speciale schoonheid en charme aan het dorp. Bovendien zijn de huizen van het dorp zelf van belang voor wat betreft de folkloristische architectuur, met de pannendaken of terrassen, de pittoreske bovenverdiepingen, de betegelde en bloemrijke tuinen met potten erin, de houten deuren en de verschillende versierde poorten, de balkons en langgerekte kamers zijn de belangrijkste elementen.
Wijnproeven is een van de aanbevolen ervaringen in de omgeving. U proeft een aantal wijnen en ook de beroemde wijn van de koningen, Comandaria. Proost! Proost! Stin ygeiá sas!
Begeleide wandeling door onze Gids door het historische centrum en het hart van Limassol waar de smalle radiale straatjes buiten de oude vissershaven leiden. Voor een stukje geschiedenis in het centrum van de stad gaan we direct naar buiten naar het middeleeuwse kasteel. Er is geen betere plek om terug in de tijd te reizen dan de plek waar het wordt beweerd Richard het Leeuwenhart trouwde Berengaria van Navarra in 1191, en kroonde haar tot koningin van Engeland. Daarna kunt u voor u terug naar de haven gaat genieten van uw vrije tijd!!! Tal van cafetaria's, restaurants en souvenirwinkels. De timing wordt aangepast om ervoor te zorgen dat we u op tijd terugbrengen naar het schip.

We halen alleen cruise reizigers op en brengen ze terug naar de Nieuwe Haven van Limassol. De tour is ingesteld om te vertrekken vanaf de Terminal in Limassol Port, naar de weg naar buiten ziet u onze vertegenwoordiger met een bord "SPANOS BUSSEN". U dient 10 minuten voor het aangegeven tijdstip bij het ophaalpunt aanwezig te zijn.

The tour guide and locations to see were good, but I think the tour was too large for the tour. I found that going to the ruins was fascinating, however too short a time to spend at the location. The time spent at the various places was too short in general. I realize the tour needed to go fast enough to return to the ship on time, but I think if the group had been smaller, it would have been easier to get through. Also, maybe one less place would have been more appropriate. The group was also quite rude at the wine tasting. Several were so concerned about getting something free, that they had no regard for others on the tour. A result of a group being too large.

Our standard tour duration is 6 hours, however on this occasion we extended it to 7 hours (10:30am-5:30pm) in order to offer participants a more enjoyable and relaxed experience. We also returned about one hour before the ship’s departure, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free return for all guests. As cruise schedules are very strict, the itinerary is carefully planned to allow guests to experience several highlights of the region within always the available timeframe. If the cruise ship had allowed more time for the stay, you can be sure that we would gladly have offered it as well. We always do our best to provide the maximum possible experience for our guests. Nevertheless, we truly appreciate your comments and suggestions, as they help us continue improving our services. We are also sorry to hear that the atmosphere during the wine tasting was not as enjoyable as expected. We always encourage respectful behavior among participants so everyone can fully enjoy the experience. We went as a 3, mum dad and myself, this was part of a cruise port visit. The tour was fantastic, one of the best we've had. We booked this through Viator. Our tour guide Mary was very informative and spoke excellent English. She had something to say about every single area we went to throughout the whole tour. She was also helpful and considerate to our needs. At each stop she would make sure everyone was off the bus and make sure everyone knew where the WC was. This was super important for my parents wellbeing as they don't have amazing stamina these days. No-one was left behind and there was plenty of time at each stop to take in the sights. Our driver Vasilli was also excellent. He was there at the right location well in time. He gave us a kind exception to eat on the bus (as we had a mix up when trying to get lunch). Though this was a one off kindness. Expect to have lunch off the bus at one of the food places in Omodos. He also provided a water cooler with bottles of water to keep us all hydrated, free of charge. The tour itself was filled cultural and archaeological interest, and was an excellent highlight of some of the history of Cyprus. If you're even remotely interested in these, I'm sure you would enjoy it. There was also the wine tasting venue, some lovely wines, and we had plenty to try, with added information from the host. The wine is very reasonably priced if you wanted to buy your own after the taster! Finally it is worth saying we were dropped off with plenty of time to spare before the cruise ship left again. There was no panic and no fuss throughout. Thankyou again Mary & Vasilli!
