Ontdek de authentieke smaken van Lima tijdens deze gastronomische beleving door het historische centrum. Tijdens deze tour van ongeveer 3,5 uur wandelen we langs iconische plekken zoals Plaza San Martín, de Centrale Markt en de traditionele Chinese. Reizigers ontdekken lokale ingrediënten, proeven typische Peruaanse gerechten en genieten van een proeverij van de beroemde Pisco Sour. Tijdens onze wandeling door historische straten zoals Jirón de la Unión zal de gids verhalen vertellen over de cultuur, gastronomie en geschiedenis van de stad. De tour eindigt vlakbij Plaza de Armas in Lima, het historische hart van de Peruaanse hoofdstad.

De rondleiding begint bij het historische Gran Hotel Bolívar, gelegen aan Plaza San Martín. Hier geeft de gids een korte inleiding over de geschiedenis van het centrum van Lima en de Peruaanse gastronomie, alvorens de culinaire ervaring begint.
Wandel door de meest traditionele straat in het centrum, langs historische bezienswaardigheden en gastronomische hotspots.
We bezoeken de historische kerk en het klooster van La Merced, een van de belangrijkste tempels in het historische centrum van Lima. Tijdens onze wandeling over de traditionele Jirón de la Unión zal de gids kort de geschiedenis van de plek en het belang ervan tijdens het koloniale tijdperk toelichten.
We bezoeken de beroemde centrale markt van Lima, waar reizigers traditionele Peruaanse ingrediënten, exotisch fruit en diverse kraampjes met lokale gerechten kunnen ontdekken. Hier proeft u enkele typische smaken van de Peruaanse keuken.
We wandelen door Lima's traditionele Chinese , een gebied vol geschiedenis en cultuur. Reizigers kunnen meer te weten komen over de Chinese invloed op de Peruaanse gastronomie en enkele typische snacks proeven.
De tour wordt afgesloten met een proeverij van de traditionele Pisco Sour, de meest iconische cocktail van Peru, terwijl de gids de geschiedenis en de ingrediënten die hem zo uniek maken, uitlegt.

Juan Diego was our tour guide. Had a really enjoyable food tour. Juan gave a a great history lesson of the area, he was very knowledgable and inciteful. Food was very tasty, definitely worth the money.

This tour exceeded my expectations. It was a great way to get to know Peruvian gastronomy while walking through the historic centre of Lima. We tried various typical dishes and drinks, and each stop had something interesting to discover. I especially liked the fact of visiting local places and not just the most tourist points. Everything was well organized, the pace was calm and the experience seemed very authentic. I recommend to those who want to know the Peruvian culture through the Food.

It was a really nice and authentic experience. We went to the historic center and Chinatown and the local market where they selling fruits, vegetables, fish and meat. We have tasted some typical food such as choclo con queso, ceviche, papá rellena and picarones. Diego also explained as the places we went and the history behind them. It was a very nice experience and we had a lot of fun.

I absolutely loved this food tour! The fruit tasting was something I didn’t expect and it ended up being my favorite part. I tried many new fruits, all fresh and delicious food. The guide was very friendly and explained everything really well. Definitely a unique experience and highly recommended.
