Kleine groepsreis met max 8 personen alleen in het Engels. Na het rijden van Barranco en Miraflores begint de tour bij Plaza San Martín, een historische toegangspoort tot het stadscentrum. We bezoeken de indrukwekkende kerk van San Francisco en de beroemde catacomben, en bieden een kijkje in het koloniale verleden van Lima. Geniet vervolgens van een churro criollo op een populaire lokale plek, een voorproefje van het culinaire erfgoed van de stad. Vervolgens verkennen we het Plaza de Armas, bewonderen de buitenkant van het regeringspaleis, de kathedraal van Lima en het Santo Domingo-klooster voordat we teruggaan. Als we Miraflores bereiken, komen we ook langs Huaca Pucllana, een oude pre-Inca site te midden van de moderne stad. De tour eindigt bij het schilderachtige Malecón in Miraflores, met een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan vanaf het Parque del Amor dat bekend staat om zijn romantische ambiance en prachtige sculpturen geïnspireerd op Barcelona's Park Güell. Plaza San Martín is een groots, historisch plein in het centrum van Lima, ingehuldigd in 1921 om de onafhankelijkheid van Peru te vieren. In het midden staat een bronzen standbeeld van generaal José de San Martín. Omgeven door elegante neoklassieke gebouwen, zoals het Gran Hotel Bolívar, is het plein een levendige hub die koloniale charme combineert met vroeg-20e-eeuwse architectuur, waardoor het een belangrijk oriëntatiepunt in Lima is.
Het San Francisco klooster is een opvallend voorbeeld van koloniale barokke architectuur in Lima, bekend om zijn sierlijke gevel en rijke geschiedenis. Binnen herbergt het klooster een enorme bibliotheek en indrukwekkende religieuze kunst. Het bekendste kenmerk is de ondergrondse catacomben, ooit gebruikt als begraafplaats. Deze catacomben bevatten de overblijfselen van naar schatting 25.000 mensen, waardoor ze een unieke en griezelige blik in het verleden van Lima bieden, en bezoekers een fascinerende reis bieden in het koloniale en religieuze erfgoed van de stad.

Het belangrijkste plein van de hoofdstad van Peru, de thuisbasis van de kathedraal van Lima en het regeringspaleis, en het nabijgelegen Santo Domingo-klooster.
We passeren Huaca Pucllana, een oude pre-Inca archeologische site gelegen in het hart van het moderne Lima. Gebouwd rond 500 AD door de Lima cultuur, het bestaat uit een grote adobe piramide gemaakt van kleine, handgemaakte bakstenen. De site diende als een belangrijk ceremonieel en administratief centrum. Parque del Amor, of het Park van de Liefde, is een schilderachtige plek in Miraflores met uitzicht op de Stille Oceaan. Bekend om zijn levendige mozaïeken en romantische sculpturen, waaronder het iconische beeld *El Beso* (De Kus) van Víctor Delfín, is het park een populaire bestemming voor koppels. De gebogen muren, versierd met kleurrijke tegels en citaten met liefdesthema, creëren een grillige sfeer. De locatie op de klif van het park biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan, waardoor het een perfecte plek is om te ontspannen en te genieten van de kustlijn van Lima.

Ophalen bij Dédalo winkel (Barranco) is om 09:30. Ophalen bij hotel Naia Miraflores (Miraflores) is om 09:50 Wij halen en brengen alleen op van deze twee locaties. Wees op tijd, want we wachten niet op laatkomers, in geen geval. Als u Barranco selecteert als ophaal-/afgiftelocatie, overweeg dan 4 uur van deur tot deur, terwijl met de Miraflores de totale duur ongeveer 3u30 zal zijn.

We had a tour with Valeria. It was really nice and she did really well. Thanks to her for making Lima a nice time. Just make sure to double check recommendations as I paid way to much for the recommended sim shop. Other than that. Perfect. Gracias Valeria.

Very practical meeting point in Miraflores from where the operator takes you on a 3h30 tour around the Hsitoric Center and Mireflores. The guide Valeria was super nice and the tour well designed. Highly recommend! Oh and there's churros!

David was excellent. Very knowledgeable and personable. First time in Peru. Great introduction to Lima and very much appreciated. He even bought us churros, which were wonderful and not like the ones we’ve had in the US. His driver was also excellent in navigating the insanity of Lima traffic. The drivers in Peru make those in Italy and Albania seem like Sunday drivers in the US.
