Bezoek Lesedi Cultural Village en begin aan een reis naar het hart van de Zuid-Afrikaanse geschiedenis en cultuur. De tradities, gewoonten en manier van leven van de Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Basotho en Ndebele mensen zijn allemaal uniek zichtbaar in dit heldere en kleurrijke dorp. Je wordt meegenomen terug in de tijd terwijl je door het dorp slentert naar een tijd waarin deze culturen op het hoogtepunt van hun welvaart en macht waren. Ontdek de tradities en overtuigingen van elk van de stammen die in het dorp vertegenwoordigd zijn door traditionele hutten te bekijken, dansvoorstellingen bij te wonen en meer. Het hoogtepunt van je tour is een uitgebreid lunchbuffet. Je kunt een scala aan gerechten proberen, waaronder regionale favorieten uit Zuid-Afrika, zoals boerewors (worst), pap (maïsmeelpap). Een diepgaande blik op de geschiedenis en cultuur van de stammen die in Lesedi Cultural Village worden vertegenwoordigd, wordt door uw gids aan u gepresenteerd. Nadat je bent opgehaald bij je hotel in Johannesburg of Pretoria, reis je naar Lesedi Cultural Village. Het dorp toont de verschillende stammen die in Zuid-Afrika leven. Die stammen zijn de Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Ndebele en Sotho. Je wordt door het dorp geleid en ziet de verschillende bouwstijlen van elke stam. Ook leer je meer over de cultuur van elke stam en zie je hun kledingstijlen. Zie hoe ze hun kralen bewerken en hoe de "kraal" eruitziet die hun vee veilig houdt. Na de rondleiding door het dorp is het tijd om samen te komen voor een tribale dansshow met muziek en gebruikelijke kleding. Tot slot geniet je van een lunch in buffetvorm voordat je terugkeert naar je hotel in Johannesburg of Pretoria.

Pickup at home in Joburg at no extra cost, smooth ride in a comfortable van. Nice shops with reasonable prices for indigenous craft. Very interesting tour through rebuilt typical villages of various tribes. Good explanations about everything. Impressive dancing show again displaying typical dances from different tribes. And not to forget the rich buffet of very tasty original food - I actually ate way too much! Mirka

As a local South African, we are always reminded of the diverse cultures in South Africa. Yet, I think very few people really know and understand what it means. A visit to Lesedi Cultural Village, is truly an eye opener, and I can't think of any better way to See, Hear and Experience the way of other Cultures. You get to "visit" 5 types of "mini villages", and get a look-see of how they would live, and create their homes out in the vast South African lands. Its about 2-3 hours visit to the Village, walking in between the 5 villages. There is also a short sing and dance show. You then also have the option to enjoy a lunch or dinner with a variety of South African dishes. (They also have accommodation available for those who wish to try out the African Way of living.)
