Legendarische Dag van de Doden-nachtshow in Xochimilco

Welkom bij een eeuwenoude traditie die op unieke wijze over de hele wereld wordt beleefd. De ervaring begint bij het aangewezen ontmoetingspunt en brengt u naar Xochimilco, de 'Bloemenplaats'. U stapt aan boord van een typische trajinera, een boot die u door de kanalen naar een eiland brengt waar een piramide oprijst. Deze piramide geeft leven aan de voorstelling "La Llorona: El anhelo de un adiós" (De huilende vrouw: Het verlangen naar afscheid), een oude legende die u meeneemt van het Mexico van vóór de Spaanse overheersing naar de strijd om de kolonisatie in een aangrijpend verhaal over leven en dood. U bent getuige van pre-Spaanse dansen en eeuwenoude liederen en we brengen de oudste tradities van Mictlán – Plaats van de Doden – tot leven. Hier herdenken we al die zielen die nog steeds herinneringen, ervaringen en nalatenschappen uit een andere dimensie doorgeven aan dit betoverende land genaamd Mexico. BELANGRIJKE OPMERKING: De show wordt alleen in het Spaans aangeboden. Dankzij deze taal kunt u echter beter in contact komen met de cultuur en getuige zijn van eeuwenoude tradities, net als een local.

Tijdens deze tour wordt u meegenomen op een mystieke en traditionele ervaring ter herdenking van de Dag van de Doden door de uitvoering van "La Llorona", een oude Mexicaanse legende die wordt verteld door middel van dans, zang en het ongelooflijke landschap aan boord van een traditionele trajinera.

So our plane landed a little late and we missed the original pick up point. However our tour guide gave me the exact location of where to meet and even stayed behind to make sure we got our tickets so we could experience Xochimilco during this special time. At the end of the event she was able to drop us off at the pick up point and gifted us a cute lil souvenir. Will definitely do this again!
It was a little chaotic with the other events happening that same day and the start time got bumped up. Other than that, the organizers were super friendly and helpful, the transportation excellent, and the experience was fun. Not scary as I expected, the show was more historical.

Our driver was very nice and helpful. He got us to the show and made sure we had our tickets and knew where to go. The show itself was very interesting and beautiful and told the story of the people who lived in the area, building the canals that we were on. The canal ride itself is short, but very beautiful. I highly recommend this experience.

I was told that pick up time was 5:30pm then they told me 6:00 they also switched the pick up location twice . Upon arriving to the location the guide wasn’t there , she got there late . They made us wait in the car with no ac , the tour guide her english was horrible ( thats acceptable tho) but her organization skills were very poor . She had to count how many people she had in the van like 3 times . she was unprofessional and never apologized or kept us communicated of what was going on. i took two other tours through viator and the guides were profesional and great communication skills.

Late getting picked up. Was scheduled for a specific show and had to wait over 3 hours to get on a boat. Spent 8 hours when it stayed 5 hours total. Didn't get back to drop off location until after 3am. Kept being told 10 minutes. Unable to view show
