Leeds Castle, ooit de thuisbasis van koning Hendrik VIII, wordt vaak 'het mooiste kasteel ter wereld' genoemd omdat het zo romantisch is en zo'n prachtig terrein en tuinen heeft. Maak een ontspannende wandeling door de prachtige tuinen, bezoek het doolhof en de grot en bekijk de majestueuze haviken en adelaars in de volière. De kleintjes zullen genieten van de Knights Stronghold-speeltuin en avonturengolf.

The day was exceptional and we were lucky with the weather. Our tour guide Gerry was very informative and personable. He imparted a lot of historical facts and at the same time he was fun, patient and easy going. The coach driver was excellent and the coach was very plush and comfortable. Timings were spot on. Both Leeds Castle and Canterbury were fantastic places to visit. However, we found visiting two places in one day quite a lot, especially as we left at 8am and returned at 8pm. We would have preferred more time at Leeds Castle as we didn't get time to do everything as apart from the castle and grounds and the Raptor area , there is so much else including the Maze and the ferry across the lake which we didn't get time for. Also timings only allowed for a quick sandwich not lunch. There is a lot to see and luckily the weather was good so probably could have spent longer there. Maybe less time in Canterbury as its all very central and apart from the Cathedral, which we'd seen on a previous visit, its really only shops and cafes. Maybe just one place, leaving at 9am and returning at 5pm would have been better for us. However, understand that tourists to Brighton like to see as much as possible.
The places are beautiful and Jerry is very good as a tour guide, he was able to keep the group in time and in proper order.

Lovely day out with the family. Leeds Castle and grounds are breathtaking. There is so much to see so I would not waste time sitting down for lunch at the restaurant there. We could have spent the whole day. The hedge maze is no joke so beware! If you are traveling with kids the playground area is amazing for getting some energy out. Canterbury is another step back in time. Our guid was very knowledgeable. The cathedral is a wonder of architecture and history. Would recommend this trip to anyone.
Leeds Castle is incredibly picturesque and so much more to see and do than just visiting the castle. Definitely do lunch on the terrace overlooking the castle. Visit the falcon area and find you way through the maze. In Canterbury it’s well worth adding on a visit to Canterbury Cathedral. Our guide Gerry was fantastic! Very helpful and entertaining.
