Begin bij de Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis kerk, een opvallend voorbeeld van vroegbarokke architectuur in Parijs. Gebouwd in de 17e eeuw, weerspiegelt het de invloed van de jezuïeten en markeert het de historische ingang van Le Marais vanaf de Rue Saint-Antoine.
Ga verder naar Place des Vosges, het oudste geplande plein in Parijs, voltooid in 1612. De symmetrische rode bakstenen gevels en arcades huisvestten ooit adel, en vandaag de dag is het een van de meest evenwichtige en rustige elegante openbare ruimtes in de stad.
Wandel langs de Rue des Rosiers, het hart van de historische Joodse wijk. Deze straat weerspiegelt lagen van culturele identiteit, met traditionele bakkerijen, oude delicatessenwinkels en kleine winkels die het karakter van het gebied al generaties lang bepalen.

We had a great tour with Elli! We walked the Marais area as Elli pointed out highlights and iconic places, buildings, and statues. She pointed out great places to eat and drink as well as educate us about the cultural make up and history of the area. My wife is a photographer. Elli knew this because of a questionnaire we filled out before we arrived in Paris. Elli also contacted us weeks before our arrival to find out what we wanted to do and see on this tour. She took us to and pointed out places that would be great to photograph and patiently waited until we finished taking photos.
