Verscholen in het hart van de Marais, Marché des Enfants Rouges is de oudste overdekte markt in Parijs, daterend uit 1615. Bij deze halte verkennen we de levendige eetkraampjes, ontdekken we de oorsprong van de ongebruikelijke naam en genieten we van de levendige sfeer die het een favoriet maakt onder de lokale bevolking en liefhebbers van eten.
Gelegen in de Joodse wijk van de Marais, Rue des Rosiers is een levendige straat rijk aan geschiedenis en smaak. The tour with Sherif was an excellent highlight of our holiday in Paris. We loved the food that he proposed to us, the wine selection was also great. We were able to learn more about Paris and Le Marais district and eat some amazing food in a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend this tour!

He didn’t just take us sightseeing, he gave us a true insider’s experience of Le Marais and Paris. What made the day so special was how he knew the owners, chefs, and people at every stop. Everywhere we went, we were welcomed like friends and truly felt like we were part of the neighborhood and the community. We tasted our way through some amazing local favorites…French cheeses, charcuterie, wine, gratin dauphinois, French onion soup, escargots, croque monsieur, beef bourguignon, and even an incredible sorbet. 🍷🧀🥖🐌 Sherif also took us through some of the most charming parts of Le Marais, including the Marché des Enfants Rouges, Rue des Rosiers in the Jewish Quarter, and Place des Vosges. He shared the history, stories, and little details that we would have completely missed on our own. But honestly, what made the experience unforgettable was Sherif himself. He was warm, knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely excited to share his Paris with us. You could tell that he loves his neighborhood and the people in it, and by the end of the day, we felt like we were experiencing Paris with a friend rather than simply taking a tour. Sherif, thank you for a wonderful afternoon in Paris.
