Letse foodtour door Rigatrips is een rondleiding door de lokale gastronomie op de grootste openluchtmarkt van Europa, die u inzicht geeft in de lokale Letse eettradities en een brede selectie van traditionele lokale voedselmonsters biedt - vlees, brood, kaas, vis, lokale gefermenteerde groenten, niet-alcoholische en alcoholische dranken en snoep.

- De Letse keuken is gebaseerd op vlees en vis, dus als je geen van beide eet, kun je nog steeds deelnemen aan de tour, aangezien je nog steeds 60% van het eten kunt proberen.
- Niet aanbevolen voor veganistische reizigers, aangezien slechts 40% van het eten op de tour veganistisch vriendelijk is.

Recommended tour. We loved the market and the food and drinks provided. Our guide was well organised for the tour. LOVED the cheese and the peas dish the most!!
Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Riga who wants to learn about Latvian food! Our guide was so nice and explained not only the significance of the foods we were trying, but she also pointed out other foods and explained how Latvians cooked with them and which foods they ate in which seasons.
Great fun. And a good way to taste things you would not usually taste. Everything looked neat and clean. Recommended!
Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to do the tour. Myself and 5 others were waiting well before the appointed time at the designated meeting place. No one came. We tried calling and messaging the contact (who had already moved our tour back by 30m that morning). Eventually we had a response with a new meeting place 5minutes walk away. We all went but there was nobody waiting. After 40 minutes and numerous unanswered calls and messages, we gave up. Get Your Guide customer service is looking into this matter. We need our money back at the least. Still it won’t compensate us for the wasted time and anxiety we experienced.
A fun, informative walk through the very local market. Our guide, Baiba, was a delight. She was informative, adapted to her guests and attuned to our needs and made this a great way to enjoy our cruise ship visit to Riga.
This was very fun. Baiba made it incredibly enjoyable as well as educational. We loved the grey peas and smoked meat, the cheeses, strawberries, etc. A lot of food samples for the price. Highest recommendation. Very fun!

Great way to get an understanding of Latvian food and to learn about the historical and current importance of the Riga Central Market. The size and scale of the market are unique and it should be a must see while in Riga. My tour with Baiba was a great learning and tasting experience. She’s a fantastic tour guide and extremely knowledgeable about Latvian food and culture. I highly recommend doing this tour.

No your on first Monday of month. Why did we not hear this till that morning? We booked this long ago and they should not have shown the day available. It was only cancelled the same morning and we had no time to do it the next days. We could have gone the day before if we knew.
