Een korte wandeling naar beneden via een uit rotsen gehouwen trap leidt naar dit uitzichtpunt aan de rand van de rivier en dam. Deze korte wandeling brengt je naar een uitzichtpunt op de canyonrand hoog boven de Colorado River. Het biedt een ongeëvenaard uitzicht op de rivier, de canyon en Glen Canyon Dam. Dit schilderachtige uitzicht biedt een spectaculair uitzicht op de Colorado River als het stroomt door Glen Canyon en van Glen Canyon Dam zelf. Volg vanaf de parkeerplaats de metalen leuning over de oneffen rotstreden.

Horseshoe Bend is een prachtig voorbeeld van een verschanste meander. Zes miljoen jaar geleden lag het gebied rond Horseshoe Bend veel dichter bij zeeniveau, en de Coloradorivier was een meanderende rivier met een bijna vlakke uiterwaard. Tussen zes en vijf miljoen jaar geleden begon de regio te verheffen. Hierdoor werd de Coloradorivier in zijn bedding vastgehouden en de rivier sneed snel naar beneden om Horseshoe Bend te produceren zoals we die nu zien.
Upper Antelope Canyon De Upper Antelope Canyon wordt Ts bighnln genoemd, de plek waar water door rotsen loopt' door de Navajo People in dat specifieke gebied. Het is het meest bezocht door toeristen omdat de ingang en de gehele lengte op maaiveldniveau zijn. En omdat stralen van direct zonlicht die naar beneden stralen vanuit openingen aan de top van de canyon veel vaker voorkomen. Balken komen het vaakst voor in de zomer, omdat ze vereisen dat de zon hoog aan de hemel staat. De Lower Antelope Canyon De Lower Antelope Canyon, genaamd Hazdistaz, of 'spiraalvormige rotsbogen' door de Navajo, ligt enkele kilometers van de Upper Antelope Canyon. Voorafgaand aan de installatie van metalen trappen vereiste een bezoek aan de canyon het beklimmen van vooraf geïnstalleerde ladders in bepaalde gebieden. Great tour! Good price and great driver or tour guide. Only downsides were the length of the drive and the truck to the upper Antelope. Everything else was great.

Antelope Valley is a must see experience. Will NOT be disappointed. Orvid , the tour guide for the Antelope Valley tour was very knowledgeable, friendly , helpful and considerate . Overall tour was small and Yang was AWESOME from the beginning to the end of the tour.

I did Upper Antelope Canyon PRIME TIME tour with my husband, and we really enjoyed. It. Tour pick up in the morning from entrance of our hotel to many restroom break in the middle, and itinerary timing was on the point. Our tour guide John was very patient and narrative. I can feel that he’s been doing this tour for very long time. Lights and shadows were nice during prime time at the Canyon and words can describe this natural wonder made by God. 💕💕💕👍👍👍

Terrible experience! This tour operator deserves a star-rating of ZERO! Do not even consider this tour! The vehicle had no shocks, was rundown & was so uncomfortable. The tour leader did not speak nor understand English very well & did not try to communicate with us in English at all!! I do not have back problems but now I have back pain from the vehicle. We felt so uncomfortable, frightened & ignored that we insisted our driver, Zhang, stop the van & let us out. It took two exits of insisting (since he does not understand English very well) but we finally got out in probably the worst area in Las Vegas. We were terrified but so thankful to be out of that situation. Viator, of course, would not give us a refund. Terrifying situation & Viator is a terrible company for associating with this sketchy group!!
We are truly sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable during your tour. Your feedback is important to us, and we’d like to provide some clarification. The vehicle used was a 2021 Ford Transit, which underwent and passed a full multi-point inspection on 9/15/2025 to ensure it met DOT safety standards. Our guide, Zhang, has been with our company for several years and knows the tour route very well. While he does communicate in English, we understand there may have been some miscommunication at the time, and we apologize if this caused you any added stress. Outside the Las Vegas city limits, road conditions can be challenging, with limited exits and uneven maintenance. For safety reasons, Zhang was unable to stop the vehicle immediately when requested, and we regret that this added to your frustration. During the tour, he also communicated with your group and completed a signed Itinerary Change Form for the drop-off. Additionally, our office had communicated with Donna the day before the tour regarding your request to cancel. Unfortunately, due to Upper Antelope Canyon ticket policies, refunds are not possible within one day of the tour. Donna was made aware of this and let us know she would decide in the morning whether to proceed. Ultimately, your group did choose to participate. There were 13 passengers in total, and no other guests reported back pain during the ride. We understand you later requested a full refund from Viator, but after their review, they upheld the cancellation policy and declined reimbursement. Please know that we have been running these tours for many years and have welcomed thousands of guests without an experience like this occurring before. Even so, your feedback matters, and we will continue to use it to improve our service. Thank you again for sharing your concerns, and we sincerely apologize that your tour did not meet your expectations.
Great one day excursion. We got picked up early in the morning and by the time we woke from our naps, we were in Page. During Antelope Canyon, our guide handed us off to a Navajo guide who led us on trip. The views were absolutely incredible and we took a lot of pictures. By the time we got dropped off we still had energy to enjoy the night in Vegas. 10/10 highly recommend this tour
