Lapland Reindeer Safari uit Rovaniemi
Beschrijving
Duik diep in de wildernis van Lapland tijdens deze 2 uur durende rendiersafari vanuit Rovaniemi. Klim in je slee met een gids en ga vervolgens de besneeuwde bossen in terwijl de rendieren de leiding nemen. Bewonder tijdens je sledetocht (1,5 km) panoramische uitzichten over het landschap van Lapland en luister naar de ritmische geluiden van de hoeven van de rendieren in de sneeuw. Warm je op met een warm drankje bij het vuur en luister als gids naar de rol van de rendieren in de traditionele Lapse cultuur. Deze tour is inclusief retourvluchten vanuit Rovaniemi.

Je hebt een unieke kans om meer te weten te komen over rendieren en hun leven. Toeristen slagen voor een examen over het berijden van een rendier slee en ontvang zelfs een speciaal "rijbewijs" zonder eventuele leeftijdsbeperkingen of dopingcontroles. Neem plaats in de slee en je bent vertrokken! Het koud krijgen? Je kunt jezelf opwarmen rond een kampvuur in een hut en genieten van een kop heet sap. In een traditionele Lapse hut, je wordt “gedoopt” in volgens alle noordelijke regels.
We zullen een prachtige tour rond de boerderij maken en het dagelijkse leven van de rendieren zien. De gids vertelt over het leven op de boerderij en leidt je rond. De boerderij heeft meer dan 300 jaar geschiedenis achter
Na de rondleiding en ceremonie gaan we naar de rendieren rijden op de sleeën in het bos - dat zou een echt wintersprookje zijn

- De beschikbaarheid van de langere rit van 2-3 km slee kan worden beïnvloed door ongunstige weersomstandigheden. In dit geval hanteren we een kortere route van 500 meter, waarvoor we een gedeeltelijke terugbetaling van Eur 25 / volwassene en Eur 20 / kind kunnen aanbieden ..

Very short reindeer ride,about 15 minutes. In December from 3pm, through a dark forest. Reindeer feeding only on the fence. Far too expensive for what's on offer. The promise was 30 minutes.
We got a refund as raindeer trip was shorter then agreed and we were informed about it in advance. Do not recommend trips at night like our which started at 1600. Route is through forest and you bearlly see raindeer infront of your sleigh. Feeding reindeers over a fence is fine and those are wonderful animals but there are farms were you can do it directly with no fence. Information meeting at the end was very informative but we got literally one small pice of cake per person. Generaly we are promised to get refound so we should be happy but to be honest Im not as I'd prefer to get what I paid for and in a way how it was advertised.

This was a wonderful experience on a real working reindeer farm. Our driver Alex was great, knowledgeable about Rovaniemi and provided us with some facts about the reindeer in general. Our tour guide on the farm was wonderful, gave us plenty of time of ask questions and provided us with a lot of information. The location was perfect. The setting for the reindeer safari was picturesque, out in the snowy woods- no one else around and you were on a 15-20 minute ride. Well worth the price and would highly recommend for families and groups alike. Thank you!!

It was fun learning about reindeers and the farmers. I enjoyed the sleigh ride while watching the reindeer’s butt (and the little black “truffles” that came out of it 😂😂😂) and just looking at the snow covered surroundings. Then a bit later our reindeer peed and the guide said “change oil” 😂

Reindeer sleigh experience is rather chill, is a walking speed safari +feeding experience. The farm answer a lot of questions, very interesting to hear how the reindeer farm works.

My partner and I loved this trip. The ride itself is about 15 minutes but you get to see/feed the reindeer and then go back to sit by the fire to warm up with hot drinks and biscuits and learn about the reindeer.
