- Bezoek aan Wat Traimitr (Tempel van de Gouden Boeddha), dit is 's werelds grootste massief gouden Boeddha, ongeveer negen eeuwen geleden gegoten. Het beeld is drie meter hoog en weegt vijf en een halve ton.
- Wat Pho (tempel van de liggende Boeddha), het is de oudste en grootste tempel van Bangkok. De gigantische vergulde liggende Boeddha met ingelegde paarlemoeren zolen wordt zeer vereerd onder boeddhisten.
- Bezoek Royal Grand Palace & Emerald Buddha: dit stadsoriëntatiepunt zou de eerste plaats moeten zijn op de route van elke bezoeker, met enkele van de meest spectaculaire architectuur in Zuidoost-Azië. Het paleis begon in 1782. Het bestaat uit verschillende gebouwen met zeer gedecoreerde architectonische ontwerpen.
- Wat Phra Kaew (Tempel van de Smaragdgroene Boeddha) De prachtige Koninklijke Kapel, Wat Phra Kaeo in dezelfde compound, bevat het Smaragdgroene Boeddha-beeld, het meest vereerd door mensen.
- Steek de Chao Phraya-rivier over per boot om Wat Arun te bezoeken. (Tempel van de dageraad) De meest aantrekkelijke in deze tempel is de pagode in Khmer-stijl. Wat arun werd tijdens de korte Thonburi-periode gerestaureerd om de koninklijke kapel van koning Taksin te zijn.
- Wat Benchamabophit: (Marmeren tempel) het hoofdgebouw werd gebouwd tijdens het bewind van koning Rama V. Het interieur is prachtig versierd met dwarsbalken van lak en goud, dit is "de perfecte architectuur van Thaise kunst". Een grote verzameling bronzen Boeddhabeelden omlijnt de ruime binnenplaats. - Aan het einde van de tour zal een bezoek aan de plaatselijke productwinkel plaatsvinden. - Opmerking: wees alsjeblieft niet kort, sandalen, T-shirts zonder mouwen. Camera mag niet in gebouwen worden gebruikt.

Booked this tour last minute and paid over the odds for it as just the 2 of us. Having said that, couldn’t fault the tour itself which was excellent. Met promptly at our ship by driver who drove us to Bangkok in 2 hours. Our lovely, friendly and informative guide, Nina, met us in Bangkok to take us around the temples and Grand Palace which were well worth seeing. She was always concerned for our wellbeing in the heat and ensured we had adequate breaks in the shade and chances to cool down. She tweaked the itinerary to allow us to ride in a tuk tuk and have a quick tour of the main sites of the city in our van. She suggested an excellent, air conditioned restaurant for lunch where she made some suggestions for food we might enjoy. As we felt we had seen enough temples and Buddhas by late afternoon, we finished our day with a wonderful 1.5 hour massage in a licensed spa suggested by Nina before being driven back to the ship. It was a long day, with heavy traffic on the return journey, but so glad we got to see Bangkok. Thank you Nina for being so kind and helpful and for ensuring we made the most of the short time we had in Bangkok.
Fabulous tour with Nina. She was very knowledgeable and was able to show us the best spots for pictures. Unfortunately the heat and humidity was oppressive and we had to call our tour off early for health reasons.
Was very good, Nina was very knowledgeable and the places very interesting. The weather was very hot so some places were very uncomfortable even with hats etc. the lunch was very good and reasonable price. Long transfers if you arrive by cruise ship but comfortable car.
Everything went as planned. Good driver and your guide.. now I don’t want finish this whole review bc I’m being forced to write more than I want. Too bad for this review! Now I will go back and change my star rating.
Nina of Sun Leisure provided an outstanding “best of Bangkok” tour to all of the important Bangkok temples within the constraints of our limited time in Bangkok. We loved her sense of humor, expert guiding expertise, organizational skills, English, and thoughtfulness. This tour was one of the highlights of our four week trip to Southeast Asia.
We were picked up at the cruise port by a wonderful driver with a beautiful comfortable mini van. The process was so easy !! We were taken to Bangkok to meet our guide. She was incredibly informative and fun. When we were finished with the sites she surprised us by asking if we’d like a 2 hour Thailand massage !! It was amazing !!!

Our guide Narendra was very knowledgeable and really helped us maximize our time and our experience in Bangkok. Having a driver pick us up and drop us off at various spots saved time and meant we spent less time fighting the huge crowds around some of the temples and the Palace. Being picked up at our cruise ship and delivered safely at the end of the day was a huge stress reliever too. Having a private tour allowed us to move at our own pace and to ask all the questions we wanted. We highly recommend this tour and will go this route in the future.
Most of all tour guide Miss Tuu was perfect. We were able to see so many things and we still decided how long at each place. She knew so much very interesting. The drive was so comfortable lovely gentleman had cold water and even a phone charger. We said it was the best tour we ever had and we travel a lot.
